Fan since I added it to Wishlist after first listen. Kept coming back to be sure it wasn’t crap, a stylistic con. Nope. Still kicks arse in a cross genre style that totally works and confuses. Confuse is good!!!

Listening party for this release was a wonderful experience. Nicholas’ passion for his creation was quite palpable as he typed away talking about tracks. Found the work brilliantly exciting, eclectic and very powerful when it came to fave for me, the Fiesty Kendall piece, Heard without reference to its track antecedents, it’s bloody wonderful stand out stuff. Looking forward to properly listening to the inspired back story pieces. One the best things I’ve added to my collection.

Did the experiment. Read novella as you listen. Got to page 28 as album ended. This play off of text and sound is really interesting. Incredibly powerful, fusing together narratives of life as remembrance, vigilance and hope. Put it this way, it reminded me of playing all my 80s faves - then survival music - when I was 15.

Structure of this quite illuminating, self referential yet universal personal/impersonal album is emotionally, intellectually and spiritually exquisite. Its power of off balance questioning reminiscence and refusal to achieve, let alone seek resolution is a profound recognition of life as jagged edges of incomprehensible incompleteness.

Sadly, I can’t afford the the full kit with novel. Shipping plus is bulk exy to Australia! Bought a digital version. I’ve loved this since you released it. Listened to it so many times. It’s brilliant narrative work at the conceptual level.
