Well crafted ambient release. Varied tracks, 'Saho' sounds field ambient, 'Enki' machine/industrial ,'Swell/Hull' quite other worldly and hypnotic,'Tiamat' a lot more striking and so on. All a bit overwhelming. So much to hear on this release
So enjoy the quite retro electronics, could be a more disturbing Tangerine Dream, where the synthesizers are somehow programming themselves. 'Rugre' is particularly good, like a slow down trance which can't break into beats.
A release which makes quite an impact. Detect some influence of early Coil or Psychic TV round about 'Dreams Less Sweet' era. Other tracks remind me of Dark Ambient fused with Horror Soundtrack. Scattered field samples emerge.
Strange, disturbing, and incredibly moving, three track, release. Quite understated in many respects but keep returning to play it. Understand this music evokes the shadow side of colonialism. Really worth purchasing. .
One of my favourite Dark Ambient collections: All 23 tracks are worth a listen. Playing this album most days now and keep finding something new. A number of artists are collaborating. My favourite being Black Egg & Alone In The Hollow Garden with the track 'Atropos' , fabulous , Imagine a French version of Dead Can Dance with Industrial drumming .
An amazing 'dark' Folk release. Harrowing in places, great musicianship, imaginative re-working of largely traditional work. Their version of 'The Cutty Wren' is sublime
Rojinski has created so much top quality electronic, largely ambient releases. Misread the title of track 5, thought it was 'Visitors in the Depths' . And this release feels like moments of quiet but defiant solitude in a limitless soundscape. Away from the mayhem of the world. This is great.
