grasping sand too tight grasping sand too tight
Tender Buttons, such lovely tracks that take you on a real quest of feeling. So exploratory, all full of emotion. Hard to pick a favourite and I love the flute on Shadow Work on a Warm Morning Rock, (and the last song is such a perfect finale) there's such a world around these.

    Superman Superman
All these tracks are soooo good. The way the chords move around is so otherworldly and beautiful, I feel that special world-vision you usually get access to a 4am after a long time of no-sleep.
'What if Superman lost his powers
And he ended up living on the street
Without a newspaper to give him lots of work
Or an alibi for jumping off a building?'

    Meow Meow
So hard to pick a favourite track. I remember listening a lot last year, especially 'new' which I had to repeat, such a lovely use of that quote which is so easy to miss unless given the context. The year drawing inwards really pulls me back here. So beautifully layered.

he needs me he needs me
I love this album so much, me and my girlfriend were talking about my dad and how much I miss him while we listened and then we realised how much the lyrics were syncing to our conversation, a beautiful beautiful album <3
