I'm all about Chiptune Jazz. I went this deep into the rabbit hole of LA session musicians who have played with either Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets or Louis Cole/KNOWER. I'm happy with these kind of discoveries.
Otherworldly dark textures musically, atmospherically and lyrically. Sparse on beats, it's a ride on a haunted space ship destined for doomsday. It's hip-hop's modern-day take on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon".
"Wriggle" was my introduction to clipping.; out of this world and out of control with some wicked rhymes in the mix. I also enjoy the masterful wordplay showcased in the verses of "Shooter".
Louis Cole has come a long way since stuffing a horn or string section in his living room or recording a choir in his driveway. I can't remember the last time I called someone a musical genius, but this is the latest one.
