Baosbheinn (pronounced boe-shyvn) translates as “the witches’ peak”.

‘The Mountain Calls’ is inspired by the shadows cast over all our lives. These challenges, like the mountain, loom over us & call us to conquer them.

Written during Krist's (vox) assessment and diagnosis of bipolar disorder the lyrics explore the creator's mental health crises and slow road to recovery through themes of dark folk and witchcraft.

Accordingly the band has adopted the symbol of two nails crossed as their ward - a defence and charm against the grim negativity they expel through their groove-laden sludge.
