Showers of Love

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Raga is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Rain’. Our Guest Designer is the Arlene.

When I saw the prompt for this challenge, I didn't have to go far to find a cute stamp set in my stash...I started by die-cutting the clouds, then I stenciled the raindrops and puddle. I used Copic markers for the images and added a little sparkle to the puddle.

We would love to see how the code word ‘Rain’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Christmas September Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the September challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Colleen and she has chosen ‘Christmas Tree’ for our prompt. Our Guest Designer is Steph from My Paper Corner

This lovely Christmas Tree stencil was a gift from my dear friend, Loll...I think she must have known that I would love the swirls in the design. Thanks, Loll! I used DOX inks and blended Squeezed Lemonade with Fossilized Amber to create gold for the star. Once dry, I added sparkle with Glimmer Paste...and that was it!

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...the challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us.....It's a great way to get started on your Christmas cards!

I hope everyone is doing well ~ Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Butterfly

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Butterfly’.  For my card, I chose to go with the theme and color palette from the inspiration photo...

I die cut the butterflies and inked them (and the alphas) with Peacock Feathers DOX and mounted the panel onto a piece of silver foil cardstock. Photographing foil cardstock is such a challenge, which is why some of the circles look black and some look silver...they're all silver ~

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion Card Challenge - Beach

Hi there ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘Beach’.  For my card, I chose to combine the sketch with the theme from the inspiration photo...

My card design speaks for itself, so I will spare you the details :) I do want to mention that I used Antique Linen distress ink for the bottom panel and on my screen, it looks yellow...In person it looks like sand - sorry about any confusion.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the theme/inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Twofer Card Challenge #27

Hi there blog friends ~  Darnell's Twofer Challenge #27 is up and running, and for the month of May, the prompt is 'Flowers'.

The rules for this challenge are to create two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies...so, I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets and got busy ~

For my first card, I started by blending DOX inks to create the background, then I used my MISTI to stamp the black silhouette flowers. A simple 'thank you' sentiment and this card was done!

For my second card, I wanted something with a spring/summer color palette...

For this card, I used my favorite color combo for the flowers and leaves and a very soft gray cardstock for the vase. I created a stencil with a shadow die and scored the card base every 1/2 inch, added my sentiment and that was it.
Here is the photo of both cards for the challenge blog ~

You have until the 24th if you would like to play along with the May Twofer Challenge...it's a great way to add to your stash!

I hope everyone is staying healthy! Sending cyber hugs to all ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

CAS Stencil Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ Happy New Year to all!!!
It’s time for our first challenge of 2020 at CAS Stencil ~.Our Guest Designer is Arlene (Sunday Stamper Papercrafts) and our Hostess for January is Nancy, who has chosen ‘Use a New Stencil’ for our prompt.

My family is incredibly generous, especially at Christmas, so I like to send thank you cards...

I started by sponging the mini Christmas tree stencil with DOX inks, then smothered it with Glimmer Paste to add lots of sparkle and shine. The star was die cut with white glitter cardstock and the sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder...and that was it!

Also, we are celebrating our first year as a challenge blog and having our 1st Birthday Party!

To thank everyone for celebrating with us, Loll is offering 2 prizes...
$25. GC to SSS for the winner and also for a random draw from eligible entries! So, come on over to the CAS Stencil Challenge Blog, get inspired by my teamies and our GD, and join us...challenge closes on the 24th.

CAS Stencil Challenge Reminder

Hi there ~
Today's card is to remind you that there is still time to join us at the CAS Stencil Challenge - Baby Wipes! As always, this challenge is open until September 24th ~

I must say, this is a really fun technique! I started by blending 4 DOX inks in autumn colors, then placed my Spotlight Stencil on an angle. I folded a baby wipe and gently wiped the color until it faded out as much as possible without wearing out the cardstock. I allowed it to dry overnight, then embossed the stars and sentiment in silver EP and die cut the faerie. This card is 5x7".

Come on over to the CAS Stencil Challenge Blog and check out all the fabulous cards by my teamies and our wonderful GD, Sarah, and don't forget we have video tutorials showcasing this technique! We would love to see your take on this challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Twofer Card Challenge #19 ~ Nautical

Hi there blog friends! Darnell's Twofer Challenge is one of my all-time faves, and this month's theme is 'Nautical'...Yes! First things first...the rules ~

I grabbed my new SSS Anchor die and created my first card ~

I thought a shaker card would be fun for my sister. We recently had a good laugh about our summers at the beach, spending hours in the ocean with a truck tube :) I also think sending love is always a nice thing to do! The background panel was created with alcohol inks and the sequins are a variety from my stash.

My 2md card is a thank you to my sweet hubby...he truly is my 'Anchor' ~

I started with ink blending with DOX inks and die cut the waves with a new MFT die. I stenciled soft clouds behind the anchor and added water droplets with Glossy Accents (a few too many). Lastly, I framed the scene with an antique frame die and embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

Here is the photo for Darnell's Challenge Blog ~

- Two different designs
- Two different occasions
- Using the same die on both cards

Darnell's challenge is open until the 24th, so there is still time to play along...go and check it out!

Fusion Card Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is ‘VW Hippie’. One would think a leftover flower child like me would have tons of colorful flowers on my card, but I went a different way ~

I flipped the sketch and used stone gray cardstock for this cute 'Cat Frame' die by Ali Express. As a nod to the psychedelic colors on the VW bus, I used several DOX inks and spritzed the panel with shimmer spray.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some fabulous cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

CASology Challenge - Calm

Hi there, blog friends! I'm back to share a card I created for the current challenge at CASology. While rummaging through my stash for the cue 'Calm', I came across this stencil and thought it would work well...when I'm stressed, I love a hot bath and a cup of tea...Yes!

I thought it would be fun to ink the stencil with DOX inks in rainbow order, and although it's hard to see on screen, I spritzed the steam with Sheer Shimmer Spray. By the way, I am LOVING the new Life Changing Brushes...they're a great investment :) I added a simple sentiment and black border, and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Addicted to CAS Challenge #160

Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS   Angie is our Hostess and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Graduation’.
Our Guest Designer is the amazingly talented _____, winner of Challenge #158!

I've used this image before from the Silhouette Store because I love the effect of a solid black die cut with an ink blended background.

I created the background panel some time ago, so don't quote me, but I think I used DOX inks and a baby wipe for texture. Here is a close-up ~

I die cut an oval from linen cardstock and used 2 layers of foam dots for the grad for dimension, then added a few gold stars in the corner. To keep the card CAS, I used gold cardstock for the scripty sentiment...and that was it!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Graduation’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer, and play along with us, come on over and join us for the new ATCAS Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by,
