about
This is the first song I've ever written, recorded, and produced on my own. It was done using an iRig2, my iPad Pro, and a headset mic. I started working on this like, two years ago before finally finishing it and I had even less of an idea of how to write music than I do now. But, the foundation was solid I think so I figured I'd finally finish it up.
This is me dipping my toe into expressing myself wholly and completely through music. I plan on doing more, and hope to release an EP at some point in the future. For now, enjoy this track. I learned a lot while working on it and I hope you guys like it as much as it's grown on me. :)
lyrics
Blood pressure
Gettin' higher
I swear I'm
Not a liar
Breakfast is
Mixed berry yogurt
Coffee with
Two sugars
Life is pretty plain
Workin' from nine to five
Evenings are for fun times
I guess I can't complain
Pretty tired gonna head to bed
Get up and get this moldy bread
Bread
Work ain't
So bad
Gotta dress like
Somebodies dad
I don't care about
The big plan
I'm just ready
For the weekend
Pack a bowl
Drink some beer
I don't know man
I'm feeling kinda weird
Existential dread
Creepin' up again
Wake up in the morning
And do it all again
Life is pretty plain
Workin' from nine to five
Evenings are for fun times
I guess I can't complain
Pretty tired gonna head to bed
Get up and get this moldy bread
Life is pretty plain
Workin' from nine to five
Evenings are for fun times
I guess I can't complain
Pretty tired gonna head to bed
Get up and get this moldy bread
I want things that I can't have
But that don't mean that i've got it bad
So what's the deal, why am I so blue?
i'd rather present as a different hue
But I'll buck up, I always do
It's not something that I ain't used to
I hope my friends all understand
I'm just not the same as I was back then
