Why Your Images Matter Most During 11.11
11.11 is one of the busiest shopping days of the year on Daraz. Buyers scroll fast and compare dozens of near-identical listings, and the product image is usually the first thing they judge before they tap.
A sale brings the traffic, but it doesn't fix weak listings. A blurry photo, a cluttered background or an image that gets cropped badly in search results costs you clicks on the day it matters most. The weeks before the sale are the time to fix them, not the night before.
This checklist sticks to what Daraz's own Image Guidelines say, and labels clearly which points are official requirements, which are Daraz's recommendations, and which are simply good practice.
Requirements and recommendations below come from Daraz University's official Image Guidelines (education.daraz.pk), checked in September 2026. Confirm the current version in Seller Center before a large upload.
What Daraz Officially Requires
Daraz's Image Guidelines list three technical requirements for product images. These are the points to get right on every main image:
| Rule | Daraz says | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | Height and width 1:1 (square) | Required |
| Background | White #FFFFFF on the main image | Required |
| File format | JPEG or PNG | Required |
| Resolution | At least 1024 pixels | Recommended |
| File size | Aim for 100KB–1MB | Recommended |
| Clutter | No stickers, text or watermarks | Recommended |
The 10-Point 11.11 Image Checklist
Go through your sale products with this list. Anything that fails gets fixed in the bulk pass below.
- 1The main image is square (1:1), not portrait or landscape.
- 2The main image background is pure white (#FFFFFF), not off-white, grey or a room scene.
- 3The file is JPEG or PNG. iPhone HEIC photos are converted first.
- 4The image is at least 1024px on each side, so it stays sharp when buyers zoom.
- 5The file is roughly 100KB–1MB, so it loads quickly on mobile data.
- 6There is no text, price sticker, logo overlay or watermark on the product.
- 7The product is centred and fills most of the frame, with even white space around it.
- 8Extra images show other angles, the scale (in hand or in use) and important details.
- 9Colours look true to the real product, so buyers don't return it for looking different.
- 10File names are organised (for example by SKU), so the right image goes to the right listing.
Step 1: Fix Backgrounds Before Resizing
The most common failure is the background. Phone photos taken on a table, bedsheet or shop counter are not white, and putting white padding around them doesn't change that: the original background is still inside the photo.
Cut the product out first and place it on pure white. Do this before resizing, so the final square image is built around a clean product.
BatchSet's background remover runs in your browser: 20 free cut-outs without an account, then 1 credit each when signed in. Free accounts get 100 credits a month.
Step 2: Square, Resize and Compress the Whole Catalogue
Once backgrounds are white, every image needs the same treatment: a 1:1 square at 1024px or more, saved as JPEG or PNG, compressed toward the 100KB–1MB range. Doing that one image at a time in a photo editor is where a whole afternoon goes.
BatchSet's Daraz Product Image Optimizer does it for a whole folder at once. Its Daraz preset fits each photo inside a 1200×1200 white square (above Daraz's recommended 1024px), saves JPEG at quality 82, organises file names and gives you a ZIP. The 1200×1200 size and quality are BatchSet's choices, not Daraz rules, and you can change them.
Upscaling doesn't add detail. If a source photo is smaller than 1024px, the optimizer can enlarge it, but it won't look sharper. Reshoot your most important products if their photos are small.
Step 3: Re-upload and Check on a Phone
Replace the images in Seller Center, starting with your 11.11 deals. Then open a few listings on your phone, in search results and on the product page, and check that each image is sharp, centred and not cropped awkwardly.
Keep the settings you used. Saving them as a recipe in BatchSet means the next batch for 12.12 or a new product launch comes out exactly the same.
