In an effort to make Mondays more bearable . . . we are releasing a new Bethan cover for the next 5 Mondays in a row. This is the fifth and final Monday of the set. A haunting version of 'Party Girl' by Canadian artist Michelle Gurevich. The core of the music was played by the one and only Frank Lenz, with additional instruments by Jamey Bozeman, the track was mixed by Jason Martin.
Here's what singer Jessi Hall had to say about this specific track :
Jeff Cloud asked if I'd be game to sing this as part of a Velvet Blue Music collaboration. Playing a character is such a fantastic momentary escape— it made me think of my early 20s. Maybe I feel a bit sorry for her. I occasionally became her, but more often than not, I was a spectator in cool scenes. In my mid-30s, I'm okay with it.

This is amazing I've only heard a few of your old albums 2000 and 2002 album which loved. I listed to your brand new one and was blown away. I bought the vinyl and can't wait to get. It's a blessing you guys are still making music! nealblackburn
Nice to see that some Christian musicians from my youth haven't lost their minds. Nice track that sounds fresh but isn't a dramatic departure from past Joy Electric. bendonahower
