We began 15 years ago in a small office on the campus of Teesside University, building marketing sites for Silicon Valley startups. As the scale of our projects and clients grew, our modest team evolved into a trusted partner for some of the world's most influential publishing brands, with a deep commitment to the WordPress ecosystem and community.

Now we take the next step on our journey as Big Bite joins WP Engine.

WP Engine has been an important part of the WordPress ecosystem for many years, and like us, they see the potential for WordPress to do more. Our work in improving editorial workflows within newsrooms aligns naturally with WP Engine's emphasis on enterprise-grade infrastructure and services. By joining forces, we can bring the tools and ideas we've developed to more people than we could alone.

For our clients, partners, and the wider WordPress community, nothing changes right now. We'll keep doing what we do best, and the team you know will continue delivering all current projects with the care and quality you expect.

As we transition into WP Engine, we'll gradually shift from client services to product development. We won't be taking on new projects, but we'll be putting our experience to work on tools and solutions that can benefit teams and organisations on a much larger scale.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who has been a part of our journey, from the local digital community who supported us to the wonderful WordPress friends and colleagues we've met online, at WordCamps, and through so many other shared experiences. There will certainly be more to come.

We're enormously proud of the work we've done with our clients and partners over the years. You put your faith in us, and we're grateful to have earned that trust. Together, we've helped organisations grow, overcome complex challenges, and build tools that have made a lasting impact.

Our contributions over the years, from Internet.org, to helping shape and drive adoption of Gutenberg with a global bank, to building the open-source Humanity theme with Amnesty International, are just a few of the positive impacts we've made on the open web, and we're excited to do even more.

Above all, Big Bite has always been about the people who came together to offer their time, talent, and enthusiasm, not just to our client work but to everything we've done. It's been a collective effort from everyone on the team, past and present, and something we can all be proud of.

And finally, to our friends and families, thank you for supporting us throughout this journey. It hasn't always been easy, and we simply wouldn't be here without you.

We're excited for what comes next, and we hope you'll celebrate this new chapter with us.

From the three of us, with love,

Iain, Jason, & Mark
