I personally am seeing the use of AI in healthcare sector as a blessing. We can't imagine the things AI can do in order to save a human life. Yes, we can't simply rely on AI and there would be some human intervention required but still, AI is going to make things way easier for healthcare professionals. For common man, they won't see much of a difference because they hardly understand the sector but you should really take suggestions from healthcare professionals. They would be the ones to consider AI as a blessing.

We have seen a really good progress when it comes to healthcare robots. These robots can now perform extremely difficult surgeries with most accuracy. In some times, these robots have performed way better than actual doctors. AI would just make robotics more friendly for these healthcare professionals.

As with any other issue, you can see both positive and negative sides here. I was talking more about diagnostics, where a doctor's experience, an individual approach, and the ability to listen and connect different facts are key. When it comes to more applied work, such as surgery, there are indeed far more positive aspects, because a robot doesn't get tired, unlike a human surgeon. And this can play a huge role in the success of an operation, especially if it lasts more than 8 hours.

Because for now, there is no confidence at all that AI does anything better. Yes, it does things faster, yes, it can process more information, and it is simply cheaper than a real, experienced doctor. But the question of quality remains, just as it was. The same goes for the question of responsibility, because AI won't bear any liability for its mistakes. Moreover, I'm not sure it will be able to draw conclusions from erroneous situations, because such mistakes often need to be analyzed with deep consideration of the individual case, and AI isn't really demonstrating its capabilities in that regard yet.

The developers of the artificial intelligence tool will bear the responsibility if the machine malfunctions or causes damage. Users have filed several class-action lawsuits against AI producers like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and SpaceX AI and have received compensation in some cases. This is why companies invest so much in testing these tools.

If I were a patient, i will say no to clinical practice, and i think my decision is valid, logic and my right as patient.  My main consideration simply we should avoid any possible harm that any intervention might do, and there is no 100% guarantee that AI is correct and will not make any mistakes. For diagnosis i think its still relevan using AI help as second opinion but for medical treatment, it is too dangerous. Only human with its awareness who bear legal, professional, and moral responsibility for every clinical decision made.

No hospital or research organization will force patients into accepting clinical trial roles. It is always a voluntary exercise because it is risky. The health sector delicate and complex to be totally handled by robots. AI will not assume leading roles in hospitals since it could malfunction. They will forever act as a backup or support staff or as puppets of medical professionals.

Negative impacts can only become evident if humans totally delegate the area for AIs to manage 100%. But if humans continue in charge of the social interactions, while using AI to execute the technical aspects, it will be a win-win game.

AI makes the work of the people around the healthcare industry easier, quicker to finish, and making them more effective and productive in what they're doing... or are they?
AI has made many things in the healthcare sector easily available, this is correct. Not only in the healthcare sector, it has also made many difficult things easier in other sectors. There is no problem if some things in the healthcare sector are done through the use of AI.

But don't see the matter of doing anything health-related through AI in a good way. Doctor makes decisions about a person's health by manually checking everything, but AI can never do anything like a doctor, that's why using AI for health is not right. Although currently many things are being done through different types of robots because of many updates, no matter how advanced the technology becomes, manual doctor is more important for the human body.

Look at this upload, doctors within 5000 kilo meters can release patients easily. The point is that technology is now increasingly sophisticated, but for health, doctors will still not be replaced to decide on the diagnosis of a human disease.

Artificial Intelligence (Ai) in the health care sector can be considered as a blessing because it is a tool or technique used in supporting medical personnels.
In the health sector today, we realise how certain illnesses are on the rise with little or no much doctors on ground to attend to everyone at once, whereas Ai is involved, commands can be issued out to it regarding what should be done and what not.

In cases where some may see it as danger posed to the health sector? It’s because Ai can make mistake sometimes, malfunction or simply breakdown in the middle of health related activities. And also, the fear of completely loosing out (which is quite impossible as it has no emotions to handle patients too).

While we look at the positive and negative impact, Ai isn’t something that’ll completely rule out the medical profession as it’ll require the human brain to carry out its command effectively. However, even if AI would be allowed to handle some certain operations at least there would be proper guidance or someone who would be taking a general control of the system to ensure there is no much errors as a form of losing control or malfunctioning.

Although I support the growth of AI but when talking about the medical sector it feels for now it is still not fully feasible to implement (substitute for the role of doctors). I know the goal is to minimize errors during operation and so on. But such a process requires human interaction that knows and understands important details at the time of surgery. The point is about the level of accuracy, because this is related to human lives that are fatal can directly eliminate lives.

You are right and I don't think they have started using Artificial intelligence to perform those surgical roles in the hospital but however I believe the idea of the surgical use of the Artificial intelligence is on the future perspective because is something that would definitely happened except they didn't want it to play those roles. In terms of interaction is indeed needed my the medical team during the time for surgery but I don't think is something that would be a barrier to the Artificial intelligence when they would start using it because it could also be built to interact with people and also have and work with medical human team so actually I'm know longer skeptical about what Artificial intelligence can do.

Exactly.
Doctors are still the ones diagnosing the condition, deciding on the surgical approach and either taking part in the operation directly or controlling the robotic system themselves.
AI and robotic are mainly there to improve things like imaging and the precise positioning of tissues and blood vessels, or to provide alert during the procedure.

There are already some semi-autonomous AI system that can handle things like stitching small surgical wounds. But they're still under the doctor's supervision and approval. AI isn't making those decisions on its own.

The use of artificial intelligence in healthcare is not entirely bad, but over-reliance on it in important decisions can be really dangerous. It will be quite effective in organizing general patient information, creating reports, preliminary analysis of reports, and quickly finding the information needed by doctors. But a small mistake in a diagnosis or treatment decision can lead to major harm to a person. It is never right that artificial intelligence will always provide the right treatment to a person. If a medical image looks wrongly normal despite a problem, it may delay the diagnosis of the disease, and if it gives a false signal even if there is no problem, unnecessary tests or treatment may be started. It is better to use artificial intelligence as an assistant rather than making it a substitute for a doctor. No matter how advanced the technology is, it is necessary to give more importance to the need for an experienced human in the final decision, the real state of the disease, and the responsible judgment of the doctor.
I think it is not right to call the use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector good or bad in one word. The real question should be, where is it making it easier for people and where is it trying to make decisions in place of people. The World Health Organization has also mentioned the potential of artificial intelligence in the health sector, as well as the risks of mistakes, inaccuracies, and caution in making difficult decisions. Another point is that artificial intelligence should not be used in the same way everywhere. Where the possibility of mistakes is low, it can be used independently. But where a mistake can mean human lives, direct human supervision is much more necessary. Simply put, artificial intelligence can be trusted to organize hospital records, but giving the final decision to smuggle weapons to a machine is a complete thing. Technology itself may be neither good nor bad; its use in human hands will ultimately determine whether it will be helpful in treatment or create new types of risks.

Use of artificial intelligence technology is mostly applicable on every sectors of the economy, this is why even in the health sectors we can see how relevant the use of AI is being made available, AI should be seen as an opportunity to get things done better and faster with more reliable results as well as the accuracy we needed from them, we can't compare the way we operate now to how things are being done in the past when it take more time and extra effort to achieve a particular task under innovation, but today, AI has made the difference and continue with the impact as people will always appreciate of it.

We've talked about about the blessings and still the curse as everything has an advantage and disadvantages, aside from the aforementioned blessings, the one area that AI is really putting the work for health, is in research, there alot of medical breakthroughs that would have taken years to come to fruition. There is this thing called virtual screening where the use of AI is use to rapidly evaluate millions of compound simultaneously all the reducing the time for independent research. Some breakthroughs are already on the phase II clinical trials

Implementing AI in medicine is beneficial. Well, at least because there aren’t enough doctors. Even bad doctors are in short supply! And in medicine, most doctors are, let’s say, "below average". Therefore, AI can be even more professional than most doctors.

Many people talk about errors as a dangerous factor in implementing AI. Doctors make mistakes too. So, when the number of AI‑related medical errors does not exceed the average statistical number of human doctors’ errors, that will be the moment to completely replace most doctors with AI.

There’s also the issue of robotics to replace mid‑level and junior medical personnel. There, errors and a careless attitude towards their work are even more common than among doctors.
I think the bigger concern is not whether the AI is going to make fewer mistakes compared to a human being but whether we can safely trust it when something goes wrong. Medicine is very different from other fields, other fields can manage wrong decisions but here one wrong decision is going to affect someone's life forever or it can also take someone's life, so risk cannot be taken. Also, calling doctors below average is not a good way to say that AI is going to replace them.
Doctors do not work like simple information processing machines instead, they fully examine the situation of the patient that does not appear in the data available to them. They also try to understand the personal circumstances of the patient and make decisions wisely. AI is a tool it can help make healthcare sector faster and also more accessible by helping doctors but it cannot replace doctors completely, which would create a risk.

Normally, are you seeing the use of AI in the healthcare sector in a good way or in a bad way?
AI will always be dangerous with the wrong hands or if it is applied in the wrong field or wrong situation, then you can be sure that AI can do harm but to me, I have always seen AI as nothing but a tool that's can assist whoever uses it to do a better and faster job. Remember depending on where and who is using it, it can be a tool or a bad thing  and for the healthcare profession, I like to think that it's a good think, because if it's integrated into the machines doctors use, patients can receive treatments alot faster and better and if they are far away, I believe operations can still be carried out.
AI will definitely make a lot of surgeries and operations happen faster and alot further in terms of distance than ever before as the technology continues to grow, so yea I feel it's definitely a blessing and it will save alot of lives.

I agree with what you said here. From inception of machine evolution, the humans work has remain faster and with AI, the human can not only make their work faster anymore, they can have their smart with AI. I have seen some companies that promise to build Robots with AI and make human evolution looks better, this is going to help the health institution even better.

However, I fear that with more advancement, things are gong to be expensive. Common man will not be able to access this facilities except with the intervention of the government supports. It's only the rich people that will be able to access what is meant for the public.

I think it'll actually be the other way around. New tech is usually expensive at first. But as it develops and gets produced on a larger scale, cost tends to come down.

Just look at smartphones. Years ago, when they were still new and there weren't many manufacturers, they were pretty expensive and not many people could afford one. Now pretty much everybody has one.

AI is at that early stage right now, which is why it's pricey. But a few years from now, it could become something much more common and widely used, with cost being a lot lower than it is today.

Moreover, AI can execute surgical jobs in tiny regions of the body which demand total accuracy is order to succeed. There are procedures which can become much less invasive with the help of AI, decreasing side effects of the surgery. I see more positive impacts than negative ones in healthcare.
Negative impacts can only become evident if humans totally delegate the area for AIs to manage 100%. But if humans continue in charge of the social interactions, while using AI to execute the technical aspects, it will be a win-win game.
In fact, I believe that integrating AI into medicine will lead to significant advancements in the healthcare sector. Processes such as gathering patient medical histories will become more accurate, as AI can scan virtually all patient data in a matter of minutes. It is difficult for doctors to make rapid diagnoses when they have to manually review a patient's history; however, with AI acting as an assistant, they can quickly reach more accurate conclusions after the AI has analyzed the patient's records. I believe this will be incredibly beneficial. Furthermore, AI will be a tremendous help in areas like surgery, where it can manage technical tasks, allowing doctors to focus on aspects that truly require human capabilities. I do not see AI as a threat to the healthcare sector; rather, I view it as a future blessing for the field.

As healthcare professionals or doctors, one certainly should not rely solely on AI—which generally serves as a tool for disseminating health information or answering questions about diseases and their management. However, AI provides significant assistance in urgent situations where local healthcare facilities are unavailable.
Yes you are right, AI serve as useful tool in health care centre or we cannot ignore its importance in this era. Few years back it was not possible to start treatment at right time due to delay in diagnosis caused many people to loss their lives. Once one of my uncle was looked fine and healthy apparently, he used to feel temperature but he always ignored this sign that body produce.

He took simple medicine of fever, but after few months when his condition became worse he rushed to the doctors they informed him that he is on last stage of liver Cancer. That news shattered him and his family, At this time due to AI or modern technology it has becomes easy to identify the disease in early stage. Through few tests or X-rays or modern advancement doctors now able to treat the patient timely, or AI helps the doctors  to identify the medical history of the patient. As a result patient can get accurate cure of his disease, in my opinion AI is not curse but it is very useful or valuable tool that provides to take better decisions for tge treatment.

In terms of gathering, structuring, and filtering information, AI is practically indispensable in almost any field, and medicine is no exception. I also agree that its capabilities should be used for this because it saves time, effort, and nerves, especially in countries where doctors do absolutely everything, from filling out certificates to performing surgeries. Where there is no normal distribution of duties and the system does not take into account the doctor's strengths, dumping a heap of unnecessary work on them. Therefore, AI is definitely needed here. I just have a lot of doubts about it making decisions instead of a living doctor.

If its making the jobs of the healthcare workers easy, with better accuracy and time saving, then definitely AI is a blessing  to them. AI acts as an augmented intelligence tool, and the smart choices and decisions are still left to the physicians and nurses and other healthcare workers. So most likely this is a partnership between human and AI, not replacing human and let AI do all the jobs alone. This will only cause danger if these doctors and nurses and other healthcare workers are not responsible on their assigned tasks, thus leaving their patients health put in danger.
If it will be done this way, then I will also agree to the fact that Ai is a blessing rather than a cause because it major purpose is to assist human in the healthcare sector and not replace them. Health is life, which is meant to be placed on high value and anything that is meant to put it in danger or risk is to be avoided. I don’t support health care workers leaving a life/patient solely in the hands of artificial intelligence because things may go wrong thereby causing more risk. So, the doctor/nurses are meant to be there at all times for better decisions and to avoid some certain risks.

In my opinion I think that this is actually a blessing and a cause of danger because the healthcare sector is a very delicate aspect that should not just be left under the care of Ai, what if something goes wrong? This is something that a lot of people haven't really thought about.
Are you serious about the last sentence? You mean people have not really thought about the possible errors that could occur, even those that introduced the AI? The are still developers ideas about AI that are not yet very safe to be use in healthcare and it has not yet been launched but for other AI machines that is permitted to be widely used in medical sector, it is safe and if it wasn't, the health Organization would not have endorsed it. Delicate health issues and emergencies are not just left under the care of AI, it's not the way you think it is. Those AI still do its assigned jobs unde the supervision of a human that is also a professional in that field, so they are not left alone to handle delicate issues.
When we say involving AI in healthcare sector, some people start thinking about a robot performing a surgery without any doctor present in the room. I would say we have watched a number of movies which might have changed the way we think. Even if AI is fully capable of entering the healthcare sector, WHO would never allow it if there was even a slight chance of error. When human lives are at stake, organisations like WHO would spend months in studying and understanding the pros and cons.

Without a proper study and trails, AI would never be allowed to treat any human life. Nothing is launched without trails and that is where we get to see the actual results. I am pretty sure, AI trials would be much more complicated and would go for months or years before they are actually introduced to the local staff.
