After a good 24 years since they started their project Boozoo Bajou it was time for Florian Seyberth and Peter Heider to launch their own imprint label called „Pilotton”. To start their own platform was never really their intention but in spring 2021 it simply feels great for them to have their own little treasure isle of music. With „Orfeu” being their first release, they capture the core sound of Boozoo Bajou at its best. It’s that warm sounding laid-back soulful beat which keeps you going throughout the whole track. Reminiscences to their legendary 2001 debut „Satta” can heard when they nod towards downtempo Latin and make a mental stop at the juke joints of the American south to get a handful of vibes for the production of this song. As many times before they offer a musical journey with class and style showing us how timeless their formula to make music really is.

Even at 80 years old, Pharoah Sanders played his tenor sax with the conviction of a gospel preacher. Every second of this album is arrestingly beautiful. As far as I'm concerned, this is essential listening for anyone who considers themselves a fan of music. 3sidesinasquare
These tracks feel like vintage wine… cool, evocative of summer nights, the heat of the day oozes from the stony surfaces, the sea breeze cools you, the night rife with opportunity, mature, gourmand dishes, of all kinds. It doesn’t rush. It stays on its own cool vibe. An absolute luxurious Delicacy of an album. The perfect vibe. Oblaky
