Here’s my card and all the details that go with it!

My card features the following new products:

So Tweet stamps and coordinating dies

This is Big Sentiments: Fall Harvest stamps and coordinating dies

Wandering Petals Hot Foil Plate

Wandering Petals Stencil Set

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used Dark Chocolate cardstock cut at 5″ X 7″ for the front panel. I used my sewing machine to sew a border around the edges of the panel for more dimensional detail. It’s fun to get the machine out and use it with my cards! I also added drops of copper Pearl Pen around the stitches for a fall look. I set the panel aside to let the pearl pen droplets dry.

For the focal point, I used Copper Glimmer Foil and the Wandering Petals Hot Foil Plate to create the whimsical branches. NOTE: I use a glossy cardstock for hot foiling because I get best results. Because of that I created the flowers on a separate sheet. I wanted to add some flowers, so on anther sheet of white cardstock, I stenciled the flowers using the coordinating Wandering Petals Stencil Set and Distress Oxide Ink in Mustard seed. I added some deeper detailing to each flower in rust tones, using my Copic Marker in YR27, E57 and E59. I hand cut the flowers and glued them to the foiled branches on the glossy cardstock using Bee Creative Precision Tip Glue by Honey Bee Stamps. I attached the glossy layer to the brown front panel, centering it in the upper portion, leaving some brown space below it for sentiments.

I created the bird using the new So Tweet stamps and dies and Soft Stone and Harvest Gold cardstock. I used Copics: YR24, YR27, W2 and W3 to add more dimension to the body. My white Gelly Roll pen helped whiten the eye more. such as

For the sentiments, I stamped in Versamark Watermark Ink Pad and heat embossed using white embossing powder, the “Blessings” word and smaller sentiment right under the Wandering Petals layer. I also stamped the “Fall Harvest” in Orange Zest and Prairie Grass ink on Stamper’s Select white cardstock and die cut the letters using the “This is Big Sentiments: Fall Harvest” stamps and dies. I attached the larger words over the glossy layer using foam tabs to make it stand out, right above the “Blessings” to complete the card front. I attached the front panel to a white card base made from a 10″ wide X 7″ tall Stamper’s Select white cardstock piece.
