Valentine Workshop

This past Saturday was a great day for a workshop!  The featured stamp set was the Stamp of the Month, Beloved Bouquet.  We did 5 standard size cards, a treat box, and a 5" x 7" popup card that was cut from Dreaming Tree Site.  I used the La Vie En Rose paper pack.  It is so much lovelier when you see it.  Pictures never do it justice!

The first item is the treat box filled with Hugs and Kisses:

This box was created from the Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge.  It's on page 37.  If you want to download the Handbook for this cartridge, you can find it on Cricut's site here:  http://content.cricut.com/b/pdfs/res/handbooks/Artiste_Handbook_web.pdf

Recipe:

Papers:  La Vie En Rose Paper Pack, Black and White Daisy Cardstocks;
Inks:  Pomegranate Exclusive Inks
Embellishments Z3075 Red Glitter Paper; Hershey's Hugs & Kisses

If you would like to download my Design Space file for this treat box, you can find it here: https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/35857500.  Anyway I think that is the link.  If not I will correct and repost.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the rest of the workshop.

Happy Crafting my friends!

One Last Sangria Card

Okay, I'm sure I've worn you out on Sangria but I am so enamoured of the rich jewel tones in the Chevron pattern, in particular.  I was inspired by a card a saw on Pinterest and turned it into a Close To My Heart card.  Here is the results:

Papers:  Sangria Paper Pack, Pomegranate, Champagne, and Colonial White Cardstocks;
Stamps D1560 Holiday Tags; D1109 Gingerbread (retired)
Inks:  Pomegranate Exclusive Inks
Embellishments Bitty Pearls and White Pearls (ret.); Liquid Applique puffed by heat gun
Other:  Lace (probably from Walmart); CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge (Holiday Tag); Spellbinder scallop and circle dies; CTMH Confetti embossing folder; StampinUp snowflakes embossing folder; Fiskars border punch.

D1560 Holiday Tag stamp set:

Happy 10th day of Christmas.  By the way, did you know that the 10 Lords a Leaping actually represent the Ten Commandments?

Christmas Treat Holder

For Christmas treats for those at my office, I decided to whip up a quick little treat holder from my Cricut.  It wasn't a lot but it was something to let them know I was thinking of them.  This is what I did with Christmas WOTG called Mistletoe (Retired):

This has a little more of the a view from the top so you can see how wide it is:

A close up of a single treat box:

Papers:  Mistletoe WOTG Paper Pack, Cranberry, and Kraft Cardstocks;
Stamps None
Inks:  None Exclusive Inks
Embellishments Cranberry Baker's String (Retired); Green Sequins from the Dollar Store
Other:  CTMH Cricket Artiste Cartridge

These were quick to whip up and I just love how the yo-yo flowers look.  I scored the B&T paper every 1/4" and cut a strip of paper at 3/4" wide x 12".

I hope everyone had a super Christmas and full of sweets!

Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop

The new Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book has the most gorgeous, amazing new products and I am only going to give you a small sampling of it today.  Today, I am showing off the new Papers, new accessories, and new stamp sets that you can get your hands on right now!

If you have come here from Lori Brown's Blog you are on the right path. This month we have almost 40 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations from the new Seasonal Expressions Book. The hop is simple to follow - just click on the link provided in the post to move to the next blog!

First on the list is a 5"x7" birthday card for a friend whose birthday is in a couple of days.  Since I just got a new Cricut Explore, I wanted to use my it for my projects for this hop.  My first project uses the new Blossom Paper kit.  The first image is the card folded.

Next is the unfolded picture:

Papers:   Blossom Paper kit, Sunset, White Daisy Cardstocks
Stamps:
Ink:   Black  Exclusive Ink
Embellishments:   Glacier Extra Thick Twine, z1752 Clear Sparkles
Other:  Circut CTMH Artfully Sent cartridge

So while I was on a roll cutting away with my new cricket, I decided that each of my grandkids would get $10 for Easter--they would already be overdosed on candy.  So I decided to make little bitty money holder containers.  These look a whole lot bigger than they really are.  The little bag made with Jackson paper is only 4" tall.

This one is made with Jackson papers using the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  The cardstock is Glacier.

These cute little purses are perfect size to hold a folded up bill.  I used Blossom papers with Lagoo  cardstock for one little purse and Smoothie for the other little purse.  The gems are Bling Gems Gold Assortment and these purses are cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.

Stop back by this month and be sure to check out the stamp sets I will be displaying from the new Seasonal 2 catalog.

Now it is time to hop on over to Judy Faye Garner's blog and see what eye candy she is flashing your way!

Artiste Cartridge Gift Card Holder

Did I mention that January is National Paper Crafting month?  I love paper crafting projects particularly things that are not really scrapbooking and not really cardmaking--like 3D projects and things you do with your cutting machines.  Know what I mean?  So for a very good friends who just happened to have a birthday so I could do another paper crafting project--thank you Karen, I created a gift card holder.  Just love this little gift card holder!

The next picture is on the top half of the holder just after you open the card:

Then we see below the middle section that actually holders the gift card:

The next one below shows the holder from the the side view:

And the last picture is the inside of the holder lying flat:

Papers:   Chalk It Up Paper kit, Sorbet, Black, and Colonial White Cardstocks
Inks:   Sorbet and Black Exclusive Inks
Embellishments z1918 Teal Shimmer Trim; z3009 Chalk It Up Assortment; z3011 Scaredy Cat Assortment; Just Blooms and Orange large brad (retired)

Hope you enjoy the rest of the paper crafting month!

Below is my card.  It is a standard size card (4.25" x 5.5").  I just love the colors of the kit! I turned my card into an Anniversary card instead of a Valentine Card--just right for two anniversaries of both my children this month.  Yes, both were married in December (on different days).  I also included the recent Freshly Made Skethes design #64 which I just missed the deadline on.

Make & Takes for Open House

At the end of August I held a little open house and had a couple of projects that were make and takes.  One project features the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  This is another cartridge that has over 700 images.  However, this amazing cartridge has some many cool things built into it so that you no longer have to figure out how large or small related pieces should be cut. The cartridge will cut all pieces of a project to the appropriate size once you have set the dial on your cricut.  This just amazes me!

Here are the projects:  a 4.5" x 4.5" card and a cute little gift box.  You can click on pictures for details.

Supplies for the little gift box:

Papers: Wonderland WOTG papers, Colonial White cardstock
Stamps:  One of the 3 D-size stamps sets that come with the Artiste cartridge

Inks:  Chocolate Exclusive Inks

Embellishments:  Pearl opaque gems
Other:  Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Same paper and supplies are used on both cards.  The only difference is the front and backs of Moonlight B&T papers are reversed.

Supplies for both cards:

Papers: Moonlight WOTG papers, Colonial White, Smokey Plum cardstock
Stamps: C1522 Creepy Creatures
Inks: Smokey Plum, Black, Goldrush, Sorbet Exclusive Inks
Embellishments: Black Mini-Medley Collection

I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day holiday!

Discover how to make accents, cards, and 3-D projects with the Cricut® Artiste cartridge. It’s easy to learn with the simple instructional booklet and assembly booklet!  (Links provided to download these booklets).

I hope you get to check out this cartridge.  If you decided to only order one thing from Close To My Heart this year--for me, this would be it!

My item is a party affair with lots of things to make a fun party.  Cupcake holders, treat holders and little fun titles and holder and Halloween items.  Everything was made with the new CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.  I have a Cricut Create so my mat is only a 6" x 12" and everything is STILL adorable!

Below is the little popcorn box holder.

Don't you just love that cat and the cupcake holder?  BUGS AND HISSES - I just love that!!

Another cupcake holder--my cupcake was a little small (those are the tiny as opposed to regular or jumbo size cupcakes.  (For size, you can make cupcake holder for either with the Cricut Create)!

This bat is really a card but I turned him into treat holder.  Isn't he ADORABLE!!

And here is the little bat dude without his treats--would be perfect for a Halloween greeting as well, don't you think?
