Sugar Skulls Pattern Play

 Hello all,

Monique here, December is usually all Christmas themed crafts, but not this one.  

The Pattern Play theme for this month just asked for those skullies to be used. So I went with all happy and bright colors, it's just to brighten up a gloomy winter day :-)

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

 Hi everyone.

Monique here showing a Christmas tag, with a bit of a twist :-)

It's just I like a bit of creepy in my Christmas tags, so that is why I thought this Dead Sea Toons boy with Santa hat would work great with the snowflakes stencil and the sentiment stamp. He is just a little bit Creepy and still cute ;-)

Art Journal page There is a little Witch in all of us

 Hello, Mo here.

I had so much fun making this art journal page, using the stencils and stamps from Blank Page Muse.

This page was made in my leather bound journal (Barnes and Noble), it's not supposed to be used for art journaling but it does work. When I saw the cute witch stamp I just had to use bright colors to make this page. She is flying over the flames on her branch, which is the more "green, environment friendly" version of the old fashioned broom :-)

A Halloween Wedding Party Invitation

 Hello all,

It's Monique here, showcasing a Halloween card.

When I saw the bride and groom in the Vintage Wedding stamp set, I immediately thought I could use them in a more scary way by combining them with some skullies.

Sadly Halloween is not a big "thing" here in the Netherlands, but if we were to have Halloween parties I would certainly love to send invitations like these. Maybe because it made me think of Phantom Manor, the Haunted Mansion of Disney Paris, where the story is all about a bride that is desperately looking for her missing groom. Of course we know what happened to the poor guy, so I like the idea of a happy end and they finally found each other LOL.

Frida Kahlo Shrine

 Hello everyone, Monique on the blog here, showing how to make a shrine.

Like many other crafters I save all kinds of stuff from the bin, like this wooden box. Wooden boxes are perfect to make shadow boxes and little shrines.  It's so much fun to make and decorate them using bright colors and rhinestones. Have fun making one of you own and show them on the the Blank Page Face book group. Can't wait to see your creations.

Whimsical Art Journal Page

 Hello everyone, it's Monique today on the blog, showing a whimsical art journal page, using stamps and stencil from Blank Page Muse.

I love the funny creatures by Stephanie Eaton. Although some people might think they are a bit creepy, they are perfect to use in a whimsical way. Just combine with some other cute/sweet stamps and add some stars and nice colors. How sweet is this little guy telling the moon he loves her?

Collage Art Journal Page

Hello, Monique here, today I have made an art journal page.

Lately I am very much into putting collage pieces on my art work.  It's a great way to use up some of you old papers you have laying around. They don't always have to stay the way they are, you can use Gesso or paint to make them match your page. This page has a bit of a vintage look but of course you can go for any look and colors you like. Remember there are no rules or mistakes in art journaling, so go and fun playing in your journal.
