Budget Friendly Envelope

You don't need endless supple of expensive craft items to enjoy stamps and other paper crafts. I went to Dollar Tree and picked up a few things. My Dollar Tree is well stocked with craft items. I even found this washi tape. The tape is a little more on the plastic side but if you want it to stick to your projects better add a little Tacky glue.

Stencil used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • washi tape
  • Acrylic paint
  • Envelopes
  • Sponges

  1. If your envelope has a window like mine, add a little washi tape to protect it from paint.
  2. Then add a little tape to the edges of your stencil so it doesn't move when you sponge your paint to the envelope

  3. Have fun this part is a bit messy. I also took my sponge and ran it along the edge of the envelope to give it a little more color.

Hope you enjoyed this budget friendly envelope. Everything but the stencil was from Dollar Tree. If you have any questions feel free to message Lasheet and if you choose to make your postcard tag her and Blank Page Muse. Thank you, happy crafting!! ♥

Get Messy!

Today we are going to get messy! Ripping pages from books, finger paint, and because that's not messy enough! We then will grab our stamps and ink pads.

Rubber stamps used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • Acrylic paint
  • sharpie marker
  • Ink
  • An old paper book
  • Thick Card Stock
  • Glue
  • Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
1. Cut your card stock paper to size. I made mine into postcards 4" x 6."
2. Rip pages from you old book. I then tore off the edges adding texture. Before gluing the book page to my card stock.
3. Slap on the acrylic paint the messier the better it'll look. There is no right or wrong way. I used my fingers paint to paint the postcards with. Use as much or as little paint as you wish. I used blue, white and black around the edges.

4.While the paint is drying its time to stamp. Get your little sea dude and sea weed out and stamp them on white card stock.
5. Color them anyway you wish. I used my alcohol markers.
6. Cut out your stamps. If you lose any details you can take your sharpie marker and draw them back on once you glue you stamps in place.
7. Add the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to the eye and the monocle eyeglass.

Hope you enjoyed this messy postcard.

Flower Postcard

This postcard was so much fun to make. I put this postcard in an envelope so that the flowers wouldn't get wrapped off in the mail. You could sent this without an envelope just skip the step using craft foam and use really strong glue.

Rubber stamps used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • Paint brush
  • Water colors
  • Ink
  • Craft Foam
  • Water color paper
  • Card Stock
  • Glue

1. Cut your water color paper to size. I made mine into postcards 4" x 6."
2. Then wet the paper. Using water colors I just splashed color all over. If your paint seems to pool in one spot take  a paper towel and pat it dry. This also helps add texture and blending of the colors.
3. Once your water colors are dry. I stamped my flowers on a thick card stock. Then I stamped my postcard where I wanted my flowers to be.

4. Taking alcohol markers I colored everything in. I also colored the green parts on my postcard. Then I cut out the flowers and glued craft foam to the backs of them. Gluing that to the postcards.

5. Don't forget the quote on the top. This stamp set has so many cute quotes to choose from I used the quote, "Stand for something even if it means standing alone"

Hope you enjoyed this flower postcard.

Spring Bunny Postcard

Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere will start at 4:37am on Saturday, March 20th (central time) This is the first day of spring, this means our daylight hours will become longer and the temperatures warmer. In the Southern Hemisphere the very opposite is happening.

Rubber stamps used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • Paint brush
  • Water colors
  • Ink
  • Craft Foam
  • Water color paper
  • Glue

1. Cut your water color paper to size. I made mine into postcards 4" x 6." If you want white edges like mine. Tape the edges down with washi tape.

2. Then wet the paper. Use a flat (square looking) brush. Take your water color in nay color you choose. Then choose whatever color you wish for the strips. I'm using green in the sprite of spring and St. Patrick's Day. I also splashed/flicked some gold on the background.

3. I then drew a silhouette of a bunny on scrape water color paper and cut it out.

4. Using this Ombre ink I stamped flowers to the bunny. Once the ink dries I slashed/flicked water color all over the bunny.

5. Glue you bunny in place and in black ink. I stamped the quote "Bloom where you are planted" to the top. The quote comes for the Flower & Bird Sketches stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed this Spring Bunny postcard. If you plan to mail these without an envelope make sure you use really strong glue. If you have any questions feel free to message Lasheet and if you choose to make your postcard tag her and Blank Page Muse. Thank you, happy crafting!! ♥

Go Splash Yourself!

I was in the grocery store earlier and the selves are stocked with Valentine's day stuff. I love the day after Valentine's day when all that candy is 50% off. I'm an Anti-Valentine's day kind of girl and sadly they just don't made cards for that. So I made my own.

Rubber stamps used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • ink- Palette, hybrid acid free
  • Sharpie marker
  • Card stock
  • Glue Stick

1. Begin by stamping your mermaids tail. While the ink is drying you can cut your card stock into 2.5" x 3.5"
2. Color in your mermaid tail and write "Go Splash Yourself" on a scrap piece of paper.
3. Cut out your stamps and letters. At this time I also ripped my blue paper and glued it to my prettier red card stock paper. I then glued the words and tail down.
4. Added a boarder around the card using a sharpie and a white gel pen.
5. The heart is a store embellishment, I found in the clearance aisle. But you could cut a heart out by head or us a die cut. Use your imagiantion.

Hope you enjoyed this Anti-Valentine's day card. If you have any questions feel free to message Lasheet and if you choose to make your card tag her and Blank Page Muse. Thank you, happy crafting!! ♥

You Octopi My Heart

I just love making little candy envelopes!

I found the template by searching online for printable candy boxes.
Not only is this perfect for candy but will work for little toys and other small gifts.

Rubber stamps used:

Additional items needed:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • ink- Palette, hybrid acid free
  • Cardstock
  • Craft Foam
  • Beacon's Craft glue 3 in 1
  • Washi tape

So for this project I really just wanted to play with the heart. I'm still new to stamping so I don't have lots of hearts to choose from. I used some washi tape to block around the stamp.
It kind of worked, maybe.... It really didn't matter since I was going to be cutting it out later. ☺

Pro tip Keep a wet paper towel at your desk when stamping
to clean the ink off before it dries.

I glued my stamped paper to craft foam and then trimmed away the excess.

Now is the time to add the washi tape to your candy envelope. Then grab your Beacon's craft glue 3 in 1 (or any glue that works with foam and paper) Glue everything in place and your done!

Hope you enjoyed my little candy envelopes

Vintage Magical Bookmark And Tassel DIY

I just love snuggling up under a fluffy blanket and a good book. I often find myself to comfy and fall asleep while reading.  😊 Which leaves me needing something to save my place.
So today lets make a cute bookmark!

Items used:
  • Imagination
  • Scissors
  • Alcohol markers
  • ink- Palette, hybrid acid free
  • Sharpie marker
  • Card stock
  • Acrylic paint
  • Cardstock
  • Tissue paper
  • Yarn or thread
  • Glue Stick
  • Rubber Stamps used-

I'm still new to the great world of stamps, so I wanted to push myself and do a more of a layered background. I started with the with the Marigold Flowers in the upper corner. From there I just kept adding. I'm really pleased with this background.

I just love the look of tassels and stamps together. You can easily make your own using yarn or thread.

  1. Wrap the yarn around cardboard or your fingers. The more you wrap the more fuller your tassel will become. I wrapped mine about 20 times.
  2. I just used a long piece of yarn and tied a double knot on the top, then slipped it off my cardboard. You could also use a jump ring between the loop. This will be used to attach your tassel to your finished piece.
  3. Next cut off a piece of yarn to tie near the top of your tassel. Tie a double knot, then wrap the yarn around a few times. Giving the tassel a more finished look tie another double knot.
  4. Cut the bottom loops. I used crappy scissors, so I needed to trim the ends a bit to make my tassel pretty.

Hope you enjoyed this Vintage Magical bookmark and Tassel DIY. If you have any questions feel free to message Lasheet and if you choose to make your bookmark tag her and Blank Page Muse. Thank you, happy crafting!! ♥

Snow Globe Ornament

Looking for more decorations or a last minute gift? This project is so fast I found the snow globe pattern here. Only I don't have any craft buttons. So I made my own using these adorable penguin stamps.

Rubber stamps used:
1. Penguins on ice, holiday sheet. This sheet is so awesome I also used the snowflakes from it.
2. By Pam Bray Classic Christmas set I love this little reindeer.

Additional items needed:
Imagination
A pair of good scissors
Shirk Film
Ink - StazOn
Color pencils- Faber-Castell
Hot glue gun and sticks
Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

Step 1: Start by stamping your stamps on the shirk film the ink will need time to dry before coloring.
Step 2: Once the ink is dry color in the stamps with color pencils. Then cut them out carefully.

Step 3: Follow the instructions on your Shirk film to shirk them. Once cooled you will want to use your Mod Podge to seal in the color pencils.

Step 4: Crochet the snow globe, pattern can be found here.
Step 5: Assembling it all together! Once you've crochet your snow globe and the Mod Podge is dry. It's time to heat up the hot glue gun and glue down all your pretty pieces. Take a piece of yarn about 8" long to make a a big loop to hang on your tree. I used the lark's head knot in the top middle part of the fishbowl, then tied a basic knot on the top making the loop.

Pro tip: Tweezers are you best friend when you have to hot glue tiny pieces like this. I may or may not have learned this the hard way. ♥

Hope you enjoyed this mix medium snow globe ornament. If you have any questions feel free to message Lasheet and if you choose to make your snow globe ornament tag her and Blank Page Muse. Thank you, happy crafting!! ♥
