Quick Ideas Mail Art

Hello all

I have a few quick ideas for mail art using the rubber stamp sets available at The Blank Page Muse.
This main stamp is from Sending Smiles, rubber stamps designed by Rick St Dennis.
The smaller stamps to fill the background are from Pam Bray Designs, Background Grunge.

products used
Start off with one texture stamp and use this to create a boarder around the envelope.
Stamp out the focal images onto the center of the envelope and leave a space for the address.

Next fill in the spaces using different texture stamps. Layer them by using different coloured inks.
The Unicorn rubber stamps are from the stamp set designed by Donna Gray, Unicorn Wishes.

Decorated Notepads

Hello! Kelly here today with a great gift idea or something you can make and sell at craft shows. I am always looking for something I can make for a quick gift or sell in the local gift shop in my small town. These notebooks make great gifts and can be made in several different sizes.

Blank Page Muse stamps used
Vintage Keys Border
Dream Big Dreams
Unicorn Wishes

Other supplies used
VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne
Tombow permanent tape
Red Tape
Distress ink - Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso
White cardstock
Black cardstock
Kraft cardstock
Ruled paper pad 5" x 7"

To create this notepad cover, trim off a 1/2" of paper on the kraft cardstock on the 11" side, then score at 5 1/8" and at the next notch towards the right for the spine of the cover, fold and set aside this piece. Next, you will cut the black cardstock to 4 3/4" by 7 3/4" adhere to the front of the kraft paper.

Using the Vintage Keys Border, stamp a panel that is 4" by 7". Adhere this stamped panel over the black panel and stamp the sentiment, Dream Big Dreams to a piece of white cardstock and ink blend Vintage Photo over the entire sentiment and use Ground Espresso on the edges.  Adhere to the front of the cover over the key panel.

Next, you will take the ruled paper pad, I bought these at the Dollar Store and they have many assorted sizes and colors to choose from, using the Red Tape, place along the edges of the notepad and a strip in the center and place on the inside back of the kraft cover. You now have a gift finished! These notepads could be used for wedding favors, house warming gifts and much more!

I made a second one with some of the extra pieces on my table. This notepad had the words on the pages so I cut one out and used it for the cover.

Unicorn ATCs

Hello! So I thought I would explore the realm of the ATC and how far you can take it away from the standard size of 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Stayed tuned for more out of the box ATCs!

For these ATCs I used -
Unicorn Wishes by Donna Gray
Correspondence Pens by Katy Leitch
Black embossing powder
Tombow markers
Gelli printed papers
Watercolors
Stencils
Word Tags
Acrylic paint

These ATC backgrounds were done on watercolor paper because there were lots of wet mediums applied to the surface. I painted the backgrounds with Fushia watercolors then added orange acrylic paint over that and stamped with the Script stamp from the Correspondence stamp set.

Then Unicorn Wishes stamps were stamped on white cardstock that was gelli printed and heat embossed in black. One of the unicorns was colored with markers while the other one was left as is from the gelli print.

The unicorns were too long to fit on the ATC, so cut off the tail of the longest one and attach it with a small brad, now the tail will move. The word tags were added with a small brad also.

This technique could be used for any number of items that don't fit on the ATC. Let me see what you come up with that is interactive on your ATCs!!

Snail Mail Envelopes

Hello! Isn't it fun to receive colorful snail mail? My postman, who is a big burly guy,  always wonders what is in those colorful packages and I tell him glitter and girly stuff!

Today on the blog, I have some colorful and quick snail mail envelopes that you can create with Blank Page Muse red rubber stamps, they stamp the best!!

Supplies -
Flamingo Row
Correspondence Pens, Ink and Postage
Unicorn Wishes
 5" x 7" white envelopes
Distress Oxide Inks in several colors
VersaFine Clair Ink - Nocturne

To create all three of these envelopes, start with laying out the stamps and then stamping with VersaFine Clair ink leaving an area for the recipients' address. Then using DO inks and a blending tool add random bits of color to the envelope.

Unicorns Moon and Stars - Art Journal Page

Hi all
I have a journal page to share today using one of the new stamp sets by The Blank Page Muse.

Products used
Acrylic Paint
Sketch book
Make up sponge

Choose about three colours that work together and dab them on randomly. Allow some of the colours overlap a little.

Start applying the texture stamps and layer those up.

Stamp out the unicorns and clouds.
Colour the images and stick onto the page.
Stamp out the little stars from the cloud stamp and then cut those out and add them to the page.
Stamp out a sentiment, cut it out and ink the edges before adding to page.
