Joseph's Coat Technique Card

Hello, Blank Page Muse family! I'm Lori and I love stencils! They are so versatile! You can ink blend, use paste and gels, you can dry emboss with a die cutting machine. Also, you can do what I did today: I used clear embossing ink through my stencil to create a Joseph's Coat Technique.
This technique involves trapping ink color under clear heat embossing then adding a dark ink all over. What your left with is a colorful design in high contrast to the background. Let me walk you through the process!

First, I took the new Fantasy Flourish stencil and placed it on top of a white piece of cardstock. You can tape everything down to your work surface to keep the stencil and cardstock in place. I used a grip mat.

I applied Distress Inks diagonally in a rainbow pattern. Then, I applied clear embossing ink on top of the Distress Ink.

This is the panel after I clear heat embossed. You could stop here, add a sentiment, attach to a card base and be done. But now, it's time for the magic!

Here is the panel after I applied dark navy ink to the entire panel. The embossed area resists the ink. Just wipe the ink off of your design and you have a dramatic panel, very different from the white background! Traditionally, you do this with black, but I chose dark navy. You can do this technique with any dark ink.

Finished card. I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5 1/4", matted it with a yellow piece of cardstock, added a die-cut sentiment from my stash, and adhered it to a card base.

Today I am using some amazing products from Blank Page Muse and I Brake for Stamps.

Create a card from green cardstock.
Cut a sheet of paper from the paper pack, then die cut a circle from the center.
Adhere the panel to the card front.
Stamp the phrase on the die cut circle, mat with cardstock and place over the die cut opening with foam adhesives.

Create a card from rust cardstock and add a layer of orange stripes.
Stamp the phrase on white cardstock.
Die cut the surrounding elements and adhere.

Blessed Baby Card

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here again with a  sweet baby card.

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Cat Nap Sweet Sleeping Boy
Copic Markers
Cardstock
Die Cuts

Stamp the image with blank ink.  Color with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I wanted a card for a new baby boy, but change up the colors to create a baby girl card.  Or if you don't yet know the gender, think of coloring the image in yellows or greens.

Next, add liquid pearls around the stars for additional dimension.

Create a card from black cardstock and select a pattern paper for the background.  Again, I choose a blue background, but match your paper to the colors in your image.  Add a white circle in the center of the card and place the stamped image on top.

Finally, surround the image with flowers and brads and add a die cut sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Vintage Gift Cards!

Hi Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!

Hope you are all enjoying our "Vintage" theme this month and that you have been able to join our current challenge - there is still time to play along!

Today I am sharing some mini gift cards - you may remember a few months ago I created some cards with paint chip sample backgrounds and collage elements - well I really hate throwing out even the tiniest of scraps so I decided to use the excess paint chip pieces and make some similar cards but on a very small scale! Great for using up scraps of plain coloured card too!

I love that you can also use this idea for mini cards for any occasion!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Background Grunge Set
Scrap Card any Colour cut to size and folded in half
Paint Chip Sample Off Cuts cut to just smaller than mini card front
Embossing Pad & Embossing Powder
Collage Images - "Art Tea Life" collage Sheet used for these cards
Small Embellishments & String, Ribbon or Fibre
General: scissors, glue, ruler, heat gun, hole punch

Instructions:
Use your scrap base card to make mini cards that are slightly smaller than your scrap paint chip samples.

Start by stamping and embossing your paint chip samples.

Adhere the stamped and embossed paint chip to your mini card front and punch a hole n the top corner.

Add a small collage image and small stamped sentiment and any tiny embellishments.

Punch a hole in the top corner of the mini card and add some string, ribbon or fibre to use to attach to your gift or xmas tree!

Thanks for joining me today and I hope 2021 brings you lots of time for crafting!

Have fun creating!

Sharon

You Are Wonderfully Wonderful!

Hi BPM Fans!

How are you all doing? I think the last month has seen some progress forward for us all so I hope everyone is doing well!

We have a great new challenge this month - perfect for using ANY of your Blank Page Muse Stamps!
We have a great "Inspiration" Picture for you to interpret however you want!
I love the colours on this palette plus the beachy feel especially as it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and thinking of the beach warms me up!
We look forward to how you feel inspired so make sure you link up to our challenge!

Hope you enjoy my  creation for today!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Mermaid Fantasy Narwhal Set designed by Donna Gray
White Cardstock
Black Ink Pad
Colouring tools of your choice
Acetate cut to size (14cm square when folded used for this card)
Plain Coloured Card
Patterned Paper
Big Kick or Similar
Nesting Die Cuts
Embossing Folder
Embellishments of your choice including fibres, charms etc.
General tools and adhesives including scissors, small hole punch, double sided tape, glue etc.

Instructions:

Stamp, colour and fussy cut your images. Stamp your sentiment on one of the die cuts from the next step!

Die cut and emboss your card and paper as shown in the picture below.

Layer all your shaped cut outs and adhere together as shown below.

Next step is to adhere your little die cut "nests" to the acetate card base. Place your front "nest" centrally on the acetate card front, place another on the inside front of the card on the back of the front nest - see how it "hides" the tape back of the front piece - repeat with the very back nest ie. line up with the front nests and finish off with your sentiment stamped nest on the card inside once again lined up with the back nest. Sounds confusing! But you can see that everything through the acetate all "backs/lines up" each other neatly on the acetate so all you see when the card is folded s the front nest.

Use your small hole punch to punch "half" holes on the spine of your card so you can add some fancy twine/wool/ribbon. Thread your fibres through and tie a bow. If you want to add some little charms or beads to the ends of your fibre for interest you can.

Add your focal stamped image to the card front along with any bits & pieces you like.

Your card is now finished! Remember you can use any shaped nesting dies you like and whatever sentiment you need to suit any occasion! Love the versatility of this card and the clear acetate effect always looks so great!

Thanks for joining me today - I hope you feel inspired to get creating!

Happy Stamping!

Sharon

Multiple Stamps in Monochrome!

Hi BPM Fans!!

Have you been enjoying this month's DT inspiration?
Hope you have had time to play along with our "multiple" stamps challenge?
I love combining stamps and getting multiple uses from my stamp stash!

Today I am sharing a card using several BPM stamps and it's also a card that can be used for multiple purposes just by changing the sentiment which is another great way to get lots of uses from your stamps!

Hope you enjoy and have some time to get some stamping done yourself!

Remember to share your creations at the Facebook Group - we love to see how you use your stamps!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps:
Buttons and Bows Dress Form designed by Rick St Dennis
Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies sentiment "creativity" designed by Terry Sproul
Timeless Measurement Set designed by A Vintage Girl
Black Base Card
Card Front in Kraft Colour
Gesso, Stencil & Ink Spray
Kraft Card Extra & Brown Ink Pad
Embellishments of Choice
General supplies: scissors, glue, spatula, water spritzer

Instructions:

Use your stencil and apply Gesso to the card front, no need to cover the entire piece. Allow to dry and then use a brown coloured ink spray and water spritzer to add some colour. Set aside to dry while you stamp your images.

Stamp your chosen main images and sentiment onto Kraft card using a dark brown ink pad and fussy cut. You can either cut or tear around your sentiment.

Adhere the card front to the card base and arrange your elements onto the card front. Add any embellishments you like. As this is a "sewing" themed card I used haberdashery embellies! Once you are happy with the placement adhere all the elements.

You can adapt this card to any colour theme you like and any occasion you want!

Hope you enjoyed our inspiration for this month!
Be sure to pop back again for a new challenge and theme in March and lots more inspiration from the DT!

Happy stamping!
