Mini Vintage Gift Cards!

Hi Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!

Hope you are all enjoying our "Vintage" theme this month and that you have been able to join our current challenge - there is still time to play along!

Today I am sharing some mini gift cards - you may remember a few months ago I created some cards with paint chip sample backgrounds and collage elements - well I really hate throwing out even the tiniest of scraps so I decided to use the excess paint chip pieces and make some similar cards but on a very small scale! Great for using up scraps of plain coloured card too!

I love that you can also use this idea for mini cards for any occasion!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Background Grunge Set
Scrap Card any Colour cut to size and folded in half
Paint Chip Sample Off Cuts cut to just smaller than mini card front
Embossing Pad & Embossing Powder
Collage Images - "Art Tea Life" collage Sheet used for these cards
Small Embellishments & String, Ribbon or Fibre
General: scissors, glue, ruler, heat gun, hole punch

Instructions:
Use your scrap base card to make mini cards that are slightly smaller than your scrap paint chip samples.

Start by stamping and embossing your paint chip samples.

Adhere the stamped and embossed paint chip to your mini card front and punch a hole n the top corner.

Add a small collage image and small stamped sentiment and any tiny embellishments.

Punch a hole in the top corner of the mini card and add some string, ribbon or fibre to use to attach to your gift or xmas tree!

Thanks for joining me today and I hope 2021 brings you lots of time for crafting!

Have fun creating!

Sharon

Hearts of Love...

Hi BPM Fans!

Hope everyone is doing well and moving forward as best you can!

What a year it has been so far! Thank goodness for rubber stamps, stencils and crafting supplies!

Today I have another stenciled creation to continue along with our theme this month of "Stencil It".
I love using stencils to add texture, dimensions and interest to backgrounds.
I love using collage elements as well so being able to combine BPM Stencils and collage characters works perfectly for me with my creations!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stencil: Hearts designed by Magda Polakow
Pam Bray Watercolour 6 x 6 Inch Paper Pack
Base card
Embossing Paste
Embossing Powders x 3
Heat Gun
General supplies: craft knife/scissors, ruler, spatula, double sided tape, glue
Embellishments of your choice

Instructions:

Start with a base card and a piece of patterned paper from the "Watercolour" 6 x 6 set OR any of the gorgeous paper pads designed by Pam Bray! Cut a piece of patterned card slightly smaller than your card base. Cut this piece in half diagonally as shown in the picture above and adhere to your card. You can multiple cards at once as you have a "spare" piece of patterned paper!

Lay your chosen stencil on the card front and apply the embossing paste over the whole stencil. Remove the stencil and apply embossing powders. Use multiple colours of powder and apply randomly over the embossing paste - apply each colour separately and shake off excess before applying each subsequent colour! Use your heat gun to emboss.

Add a focal collage element to the bottom corner along with any embellishments you like. Add a collage or a stamped sentiment and you have a card perfect for any occasion!

Thanks for joining me today and remember you do still have time to play along with our stencil themed challenge so why not whip something up and link up to our challenge!

Happy stamping!

Sharon

Smile When You Remember........

Hi Blank Page Muse Fans!

I hope you have been enjoying the DT creations so far this month! Always so much creativity and inspiration being shared here at the blog!

Today I am sharing some vintage style tags made with rubber stamps and collage elements!
I love combining rubber stamping with collage - a great way to compliment each other!
Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Background Roses by Pam Bray
Blank Page Muse Stamp Set: Art Journaling #2 by Terri Sproul - "Remember When" & "Smile"
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Background Grunge Art Sheet by Pam Bray - "Single Rose"
Blank Tags
Collage Characters - used here Art Tea Life Collage Sheet
Ink Sprayed "Mop Up" Paper Towel
Embossing Ink & Gold Embossing Powder
Black Archival Ink & Distress Inks
Gesso
Kraft Paper Scraps
Scraps Muslin Cloth
Cloth Ribbon & Fancy Pin
Tools: heat gun, scissors, glue, sponge, spatula
Instructions:
The first step is to decorate your tag background.

Use a glue stick to cover the front of your tag and adhere the paper towel to the tag. Cut out around the tag leaving a border to fold over and adhere to the back of the tag to give a neat finish to the tag front. Then use a spatula and the Gesso and apply a very thin layer to the tag front. As you can see in the picture above the Gesso helps to tone the colour ready for the next step.
Ink the Rose Background Stamp with embossing ink and stamp onto the tag. Use gold embossing powder and a heat gun to set. the effect of this stamp over the background in gold is beautiful!
Decorate the plain cloth ribbon to add to the top of your tag. Use a sponge and some Distress inks to colour the ribbon and then stamp the Single Rose with Black Archival Ink randomly over the ribbon.
Stamp your wording stamps onto Kraft paper and tear out.
Fussy cut your collage elements and arrange on the tag along with the scrap of muslin cloth and wording stamp and adhere with glue. Attach the printed ribbon to the top with a fancy safety pin.
Hope you have enjoyed my post today!
Always so many ways to use your Blank Page Muse Stamps!
Enjoy!

Time Flies.....

Hello Again Fans!
Are you loving this months theme "Things with Wings"?
Soooooo many Blank Page Muse Stamps to create with for this theme - my tag art today uses three different stamps from the fab range at the Store!

You know I love to decorate tags so I hope you enjoy my mixed media double tag creation today!
Supplies List:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Feathered Pair of Wings
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Birds on Wires Silhouette Border designed by Terri Sproul
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Feather Art designed by Pam Bray
Gelli Plate Printed Double Tags note: you can cut your own tags to size from your gelli prints if you don't have any!!
Embossing Ink Stamp Pad, Black Fine Embossing Powder and Embossing Powder in Complimentary Colour
Black Archival Ink Pad
White Tissue Paper
Kraft Paper
Collage "Characters" used here by Art Tea Life
Various embellishments: string, muslin cloth, cork style border strip etc.
Tools: heat gun, scissors, glue

Instructions:
Use pre printed tags or cut your own from gelli plate printed card. I always have some extra things on hand to grab and create with!

Use the Feather Art stamp with embossing ink and embossing powder to randomly add some more dimension to the printed background and add a little "sparkle"!

Use the Black Archival Ink to stamp the Birds on Wires onto white tissue paper. Tear out the stamped image.

Use Gel Medium to adhere the tissue paper stamps onto the tag background. Tearing the image allows it to "blend" into the background better than a straight cut edged piece of tissue. Be careful when adhering the tissue down as it can tear easily once wet. Allow to dry.

Whilst your tag background is drying stamp the wings and sentiment onto Kraft Paper using the clear embossing ink pad. Use fine black embossing powder and heat. Fussy cut the wings and tear the sentiment.

Gather your collage elements, stamped images and embellishments. Glue the embossed and fussy cut wings to your collage character. Soooo cute!!!!!

Arrange all of your elements onto the tag background and adhere everything with glue. To finish tie some string to the top of each of the double tag.

I always like to stamp extra images so I can make more than one tag at a time. I created another double tag with my extras:

Happy Stamping and have a great week!!!
Sharon :)

"KISS" Keep it Simple Stupid!

Hi Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!!
How are you all enjoying this months stamping inspiration?
Always lots of wonderful and amazing creations by the DT here at the Blog!

Today I am sharing the process for making my altered index card with my "WORD" for the Year!
I've never actually had a "word" for the year but this year I really needed this word so I decided to make a little piece of art with my word to pin up right next to my computer and crafting area!
My word is "KISS" Keep it Simple Stupid - we can over-complicate things and just make life more stressful so this is a reminder to keep it simple and work through things day by day!
Hope you gain some inspiration and maybe share your "word" with us!!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Lips Small
Index Card 6 x 4 or card cut to size
Patterned Tissue Paper
Acrylic Paints
Gesso
Gel Medium
Embossing Pad and Black Embossing Powder
Die Cut Letters
Black Posca Pen
Extras: any embellishments you like, computer generated wording, gemstone, ink sprayed muslin cloth etc
General supplies and tools: heat gun, glue, spatula, scissors, old credit/gift card
Instructions:
Start with your index card, acrylic paint and old credit card and add "dobs" of paint to the top of the card.

Use the credit card to drag the paint down the card, cover the entire card with the paint.
Tip: use the left over paint on the credit card to prepare another index card or journal page for use another day - makes creating quicker!

The pic shows the entire card covered with paint - no need to be neat - it looks better messy! Allow to dry.

Apply a layer of gel medium to the entire card with a spatula or paintbrush and cover with translucent patterned tissue paper - smooth out and make sure it has adhered. Allow to dry and then trim the edges.

Use the spatula to spread a very thin layer of gesso over the card - no need to cover the entire card - it's just to "tone down" the paint colour ready for the next step!

Time to have some fun with the Blank Page Muse "Lips" Stamp! Use your embossing ink pad and randomly stamp the Lips over the card background. Emboss with fine black embossing powder. Use a black Posca pen to edge the card.

Lastly gather your finishing elements including the die cut letters, computer generated wording, cloth scrap and gemstone. Arrange on your background, adhere and you have your finished inspirational word to display and take note of!!!

The finished creation:

Thanks for joining me today - have a great week!
Happy Stamping!
Sharon
