Dream, Inspire, Grow

Hi there, crafting friends!

It’s design team member Walter back on the blog with you today.  My first card for June was all about self love and doing what is good for your soul.  Today's project is along the same thought and features the words: DREAM, INSPIRE, and GROW.  An important reminder for everyone that we are never too old to dream, incapable of inspiring, or without the ability to grow. It has a pop art style and is a little funky.  I hope that you like it!

Here's what I used to make it:

 Here's how I made it:

  • Blended blocks from the stencil onto the card panel in an alternating pattern with the oxide inks; stamped circular patterns down the left & right hand sides with black ink.
  • Stamped the art doll and sentiments onto a scrap piece of paper from the Steampunk Romance kit.
  • Colored the art doll with alcohol markers, glitter gel pens, and metallic gel pens.
  • Adhered doll and sentiments to card with double sided foam tape.
  • Spritzed the card panel with some tea stain spray to add some grunge.
  • Adhered the panel to the card base and glued on three rhinestone gems.

You Belong to Me

Hey there, crafty friends!

I'm back on the Blank Page Muse blog today with a card that shows off my hopeless romantic side.  Today’s share is all about L-O-V-E, and was inspired by the song "You Belong to Me."  No, not the Taylor Swift one!  I'm talking about the amazing ballad from the 1950's that was made famous by Jo Stafford:

See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sun rise on a tropic isle
Just remember, darling, all the while
You belong to me

The couples in these photobooth stamps made me think of that song as soon as I saw them.  Paired with a classic car stamp and some romantic words and the result is a beautiful card for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or to say I love You on any day.

I used the following Blank Page Muse products to create it:

I hope that it makes you think of someone you love and that you smile.  And, if you're not familiar with the song, give it a listen!  You may read more about my creative process on my blog.

Enough Tag

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya, and I am back this month with a vintage inspired tag I created using the Photo Booth Woman Portrait Photo Style Art Rubber Stamp and the ornate frame from the Love, Faith and Family Vintage Art Rubber Stamp Full Sheet

Supplies

BPM: Photo Booth Woman Portrait Photo Style Art Rubber Stamp

BPM: Love, Faith and Family Vintage Art Rubber Stamp Full Sheet

MISTI Stamping Tool

Waterproof Black Ink

Paper Cutter

Scissors

Craft Knife

Watercolor Paper

Watercolor Paints, Chalk Inks and Water Base Inks

Watercolor Brush

Kraft Cardstock Tag

Various Patterned Cardstock Scraps

Thread, Cheese Cloth, Cording and Seam Binding

Diecut Machine

Tim Holtz: Botanical 3D Embossing Folder

Tim Holtz: Tiny Clips

Sequin and Gems

Various Diecuts and Punches

Enough Sentiment (from the computer)

Foam Pop Dots

Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Adhesive

The first thing I did was cut out a tag, place into the Botanical 3D Embossing Folder, run through the diecut machine and then lightly ink over the raised areas with a couple different colors of blues and light green chalk inks.

Next stamp the Photo Booth Woman Stamp onto the a piece of watercolor paper, cut out and use an assortment of watercolors and inks to paint the image. Lightly ink the edges with a chalk ink to add a "faded look" to the image.

Stamp the ornate frame with the love sentiment in the center onto a piece of watercolor paper.
Use a craft knife to cut the love sentiment out of the center of the frame and scissors to fussy cut out the excess and the around the frame.
Watercolor the frame a light brown and once dry lightly ink over the edges with a gold ink.

Adhere the ornate frame to the tag, glue a piece of patterned cardstock to "frame" the woman image, a larger piece of patterned cardstock off center and a decorative diecut together before adding foam pop dots and placing onto the tag.

Attach a Tiny Clip to the top of the woman image along with loops of thread.
The bottom corner of the tag adhere loops of thread, cording bow, cheese cloth and a tiny piece of seam binding.
I added a fussy cut butterfly (from a piece of cardstock), flower diecut with a sequin and gem and leaf sprig, a tiny gem to the decorative diecut and the enough sentiment that I printed from my computer and glued toward the top to finish off this tag.
As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

You Are Wonderfully Wonderful!

Hi BPM Fans!

How are you all doing? I think the last month has seen some progress forward for us all so I hope everyone is doing well!

We have a great new challenge this month - perfect for using ANY of your Blank Page Muse Stamps!
We have a great "Inspiration" Picture for you to interpret however you want!
I love the colours on this palette plus the beachy feel especially as it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and thinking of the beach warms me up!
We look forward to how you feel inspired so make sure you link up to our challenge!

Hope you enjoy my  creation for today!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Mermaid Fantasy Narwhal Set designed by Donna Gray
White Cardstock
Black Ink Pad
Colouring tools of your choice
Acetate cut to size (14cm square when folded used for this card)
Plain Coloured Card
Patterned Paper
Big Kick or Similar
Nesting Die Cuts
Embossing Folder
Embellishments of your choice including fibres, charms etc.
General tools and adhesives including scissors, small hole punch, double sided tape, glue etc.

Instructions:

Stamp, colour and fussy cut your images. Stamp your sentiment on one of the die cuts from the next step!

Die cut and emboss your card and paper as shown in the picture below.

Layer all your shaped cut outs and adhere together as shown below.

Next step is to adhere your little die cut "nests" to the acetate card base. Place your front "nest" centrally on the acetate card front, place another on the inside front of the card on the back of the front nest - see how it "hides" the tape back of the front piece - repeat with the very back nest ie. line up with the front nests and finish off with your sentiment stamped nest on the card inside once again lined up with the back nest. Sounds confusing! But you can see that everything through the acetate all "backs/lines up" each other neatly on the acetate so all you see when the card is folded s the front nest.

Use your small hole punch to punch "half" holes on the spine of your card so you can add some fancy twine/wool/ribbon. Thread your fibres through and tie a bow. If you want to add some little charms or beads to the ends of your fibre for interest you can.

Add your focal stamped image to the card front along with any bits & pieces you like.

Your card is now finished! Remember you can use any shaped nesting dies you like and whatever sentiment you need to suit any occasion! Love the versatility of this card and the clear acetate effect always looks so great!

Thanks for joining me today - I hope you feel inspired to get creating!

Happy Stamping!

Sharon

Embossed Medallions

Hello! I have to say that this Medallions stamp is one of my favorites! It can be used for backgrounds or snowflakes along with many other ideas.

With that being said I wanted to do a quick inspiration for tags for gifts or any other ideas you might have with this idea.

Supplies -
Blank Page Muse stamp
Medallions Ornate - Michelle Frae Cummings

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtKelly2019 to save %15 off your total order!)

Brush a light coating of cornstarch over the white cardstock with the makeup brush. Then stamp the Medallion Ornate stamp with Versamark ink in the center of the cardstock. Apply white embossing powder and heat set image.

Using the 3 ink colors, starting with the lightest color, sponge on in a circular pattern starting in the center and working your way out. The using the second color, sponge along the outside of the first color and finish off with the last color on the outside edges. When the color overlaps it will create new colors so be careful in choosing the color.

Round off the corners with the corner rounder punch and you are finished!

This would technique would make great tags for gifts all year!
