You Are Wonderfully Wonderful!

Hi BPM Fans!

How are you all doing? I think the last month has seen some progress forward for us all so I hope everyone is doing well!

We have a great new challenge this month - perfect for using ANY of your Blank Page Muse Stamps!
We have a great "Inspiration" Picture for you to interpret however you want!
I love the colours on this palette plus the beachy feel especially as it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and thinking of the beach warms me up!
We look forward to how you feel inspired so make sure you link up to our challenge!

Hope you enjoy my  creation for today!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: Mermaid Fantasy Narwhal Set designed by Donna Gray
White Cardstock
Black Ink Pad
Colouring tools of your choice
Acetate cut to size (14cm square when folded used for this card)
Plain Coloured Card
Patterned Paper
Big Kick or Similar
Nesting Die Cuts
Embossing Folder
Embellishments of your choice including fibres, charms etc.
General tools and adhesives including scissors, small hole punch, double sided tape, glue etc.

Instructions:

Stamp, colour and fussy cut your images. Stamp your sentiment on one of the die cuts from the next step!

Die cut and emboss your card and paper as shown in the picture below.

Layer all your shaped cut outs and adhere together as shown below.

Next step is to adhere your little die cut "nests" to the acetate card base. Place your front "nest" centrally on the acetate card front, place another on the inside front of the card on the back of the front nest - see how it "hides" the tape back of the front piece - repeat with the very back nest ie. line up with the front nests and finish off with your sentiment stamped nest on the card inside once again lined up with the back nest. Sounds confusing! But you can see that everything through the acetate all "backs/lines up" each other neatly on the acetate so all you see when the card is folded s the front nest.

Use your small hole punch to punch "half" holes on the spine of your card so you can add some fancy twine/wool/ribbon. Thread your fibres through and tie a bow. If you want to add some little charms or beads to the ends of your fibre for interest you can.

Add your focal stamped image to the card front along with any bits & pieces you like.

Your card is now finished! Remember you can use any shaped nesting dies you like and whatever sentiment you need to suit any occasion! Love the versatility of this card and the clear acetate effect always looks so great!

Thanks for joining me today - I hope you feel inspired to get creating!

Happy Stamping!

Sharon

Happy Birthday Quick Idea~ Fun Art Tag by Sharon!

This tag has a great quick background technique using stamps from the Steampunk Circus Set and has been created by DT Member Sharon.
The thing we love about this quick technique is you can use any sentiment stamp you have to create not only tag backgrounds but ATC's, ATcoins and greeting card backgrounds and is perfect for any occasion. Your base card can be painted or inked prior to stamping to add some colour.
Add another feature stamp and some embellishments and you have a quick creation that can be whipped up at the last minute! No need to colour you main image either which makes an even faster creation - just leave black & white or print on kraft card for a different look!

Make sure to come back and play in our Creative Challenge the link can be found on the sidebar and up top.

Postcard Journal

Hello everyone! So glad to see you back. This month's theme was Postcards and I first had this idea when I was going through my old vintage papers and other stuff, I remember my grandma having this old album full of postcards, it was crazy fun to look through and hear all of the stories she remember about each one. This had me thinking of a way to create something similar and just as fun!

Here is the cover of the postcard album.

Supplies used
Blank Page Muse stamps -
Correspondence Pens, Ink and Postage
Tall Flamingo
Dear Beach sentiment
Classic Car
Lady and Man Clock
Grungy Circles and Crackle

Watercolor paper
Tim Holtz Embossing folder
Rub N Buff Gold
Lumiere paint Green Gold
Ribbon
Hole punch
Paper Scorer
Map piece
Washi tape
Postage stamps
Distress inks in various colors

Start by cutting your watercolor paper into postcard sized pieces with about 1 1/2" extra for the binding holes, then score the pages at the 1 1/2" mark and holding tow pages together punch the holes in all of the pages.

Set aside 5 pages and paint the front and back of the covers with the Lumiere paint. You can use any paint you have on hand, I just like the old vintage look of the Green Gold.  Then using the embossing folder, emboss the front cover and stamp with the Postcard stamp. Using the Rub n Buff light rub it over the raised images. Take some of the Distress ink in black and rub it along the edges of both the covers for an aged look.

Next, you will start on the postcards, for the first one, stamp images all over the card and them using Distress Inks smoosh them over the images.

For the second card, use the Distress inks like watercolor, paint and splatter the background, let dry and stamp with the Flamingo stamp, Dear Beach sentiment, and Florida.

For the next postcard, glue down the map piece and use Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to distress the paper then stamp the postage marks and stamps on the map, then add some real postage stamps to the front along with the Dear Beach sentiment.

For the fourth postcard, I used the Grungy Tread stamp and the Classic Car stamp along with the postage stamps and stamped the card. Adding washi tape for added emphasis.  Then using an alphabet stamp set added Arizona and Route 66.

For the last postcard of the bunch, I stamped the Grungy Circles and Crackle stamps on the background then used Distress Ink around the edges and on the Dear Beach sentiment and the Woman and Man Clock stamp.

Hope you like the Postcard Album that was created for the June theme of Postcards at Blank Page Muse!
