Guest Designer / Lisa Gregory / "Sapphire Days" paper collection

 Hello! I am back as a Guest Designer for August. Today I am bringing you a 12x12 layout created with the gorgeous Sapphire Days paper collection. The collection is full of beautiful blue and cream flowers, with a touch of pale yellow. The color combination is simply so soothing to the eye. I felt it was perfect to scrap pictures of my granddaughter when she was only months old.  For my design, I decied to do a horizonal design, so i applied some texture paste using a mask, and sprinkled some embossing powder in a color blue that complimented the paper. I heat embossed it to give it shine, and then began building my design over it.

Dziś przychodzę do Was z layoutem z ślicznej kolekcji Sapphire Days, z pięknymi niebieskimi kwiatami, ale i z kremowymi, z delikatnym odcieniem żółtego.W cetralnym miejscu umieściłam zdjęcia mojej wnuczki, która miała wtedy kilka miesięcy.  Przez maskę odcisnęłam wzory, które póżniej posypałam pudrem do embossingu, dzięki czemu uzyskałam delikatny połysk.

I used the paper on the inside of the cover page to the collection for all of the elements. I used different punches to create the base to the design. I die cut film frames, and 2 kings of torn notebook paper. I fussy cut the door from the Doors and Windows cut out sheet. And I die cut the circles from the inside of the cover page. I scattered some cut out butterflies on the page. The title "With Love" was also cut from the inside cover page. 

Użyłam kółeczka i napis ( z tylnej części okładki ) oraz drzwi i motyle z arkuszy, ale również kliszę i wycięte fragmenty z notesu.

I fussy cut the entire page of Sapphire Days Flowers. It makes it easy to just pick what you want to tuck in the page. It is like picking flowers in a garden! I added layers of different flowers and leaves to give it dimension. I added pieces of corrugated cardboard underneath to give it depth. I am in love with the flowers in these papers. They are beautiful! They look like they flow so nicely on the layout. 

 

Z arkusza Sapphire Days Flowers wycięłam kwiaty, z których ułożyłam warstwową kompozycję, niczym rabatki w ogrodzie kwiatowym. Uwielbiam te kwiaty!

I fussy cut the leaves from the Leaves 03 cutting sheet. The leaves are so beautiful and realistic looking. I chose yellow flowers from my stash, and just enhanced them with the fussy cut flowers and leaves. To finish the layout off, I splattered some white gesso and distress paint onto the layout. I also added touched of gold leaf on the page. It gives it a bit of an elegant touch. 

Swój layout ozdobiłam liśćmi z arkusza 03, te liście są po prostu wspaniałe, wyglądają tak naturalnie. Dodałam także jasnożołte kwiaty. Całość pochlapałam białym gessem, gdzieniegdzie przykleiłam złote płatki, myślę, że nadały one elegancji mojemu LO.

Scrap and Me "Spring Purple" collection

To zaszczyt być gościnnym projektantem ScrapAndMe. Praca z tymi wspaniałymi papierami jest wielką przyjemnością. Dziś używam pięknej kolekcji Spring Purple, która jest dla mnie wyjątkowa, gdyż fioletowy to mój ulubiony kolor. Wybrałam też specjalne zdjęcie mojej wnuczki i wnuków mojej siostry. Wszyscy są w tym samym wieku. Kuzyni są najlepsi. Wnuki są wyjątkowe!! Wybrałam wymowny cytat o dzieciach. Tak bardzo ich kochamy.  

I am honored to be a Guest Designer for Scrap and Me. It has been such a pleasure working with their gorgeous papers. Today I am using the beautiful Spring Purple paper collection. And it is special to me, because purple is my favorite color. I also chose a special photograph of my grand daughter and my sisters grand sons. They are all about the same age. Cousins are the best. Grandchildren are very special!! I chose to use a meaningful quote about children. We love them so much. 

 Jako tło użyłam Spring Purple 02. Chciałam skupić się na wyciętych kwiatach i liściach, więc wybrałam papier, na którym nie było żadnego nadruku. Sam papier jest piękny. Akwarelowy wzór, który tak bardzo kocham.

For the background paper, I used Spring Purple 02. I wanted to focus on the fussy cut flowers and leaves, so I chose a paper that did not have any design print on it. The paper itself is beautiful. A watercolor design that I love so much. 

 Od góry do dołu przykleiłam pasek z koronki, serwetki i juty. Jutę przymocowałam za pomocą maleńkich zszywek, a następnie przykleiłam pasek do papieru podkładowego z przesunięciem na bok. Gazę trochę rozciągnęłam, żeby ją trochę poszarpać.

From top to bottom, I created a strip using lace, cheese cloth, and jute. I attached the jute using tiny staples, then adhered the strip to the background paper offset to the side. I fluffed out the cheese cloth to distress it a little. 

Utworzyłam napisy w Photoshopie, wybrałam  cytat, utworzyłam tło w Photoshopie i wydrukowałam go na pergaminowym kartonie. Pocięłam go na paski, zafarbowałam krawędzie i przykleiłam do paska nad i pod zdjęciem. Każdy pasek podłożyłam tekturą, aby nadać mu przestrzeni.

I created the sentiment in Photoshop by choosing the quote, creating the page in Photoshop, and  printed it on parchment cardstock. I cut it into strips, inked the edges and adhered it to down the strip above and below the photo. I backed each strip with chipboard to give it some dimension. 

Dokładnie wyciąłem kwiaty z arkusza wycinanek Spring Purple, liście zaś z arkusza Leaves 09, pocięłam także arkusz z motylami Usiadłam i powycinałam je wszystkie, a potem wybrałem te, które pasują do mojego projektu. Dodałam kilka fioletowych kwiatów z mojej skrytki. Kiedy układ został zakończony, użyłam trochę tuszu i białego gesso do chlapań wokół projektu. To dodało ostatniego szlifu.

I fussy cut the flowers from the Spring Purple Cutout Sheet, the leaves were cut from the Leaves 09 Cut
Out sheet, and the butterflies from the Butterflies Cut Out Sheet. I sat and fussy cut them all, then chose the ones that fir my design. I added a few purple flowers from my stash. Once the layout was finished, I used some distress ink and white gesso for the splatters around the design. That added the finishing touch.

Frosty Days Explosion Box

 Using the Frosty Days collection, I created an explosion box. I am thinking of filling it with candy treats and giving it to someone for Christmas. It is never to early to start your Holiday Projects! For this explosion box, I used almost all of the papers from the Frosty Days collection. I am planning to fill it with more little cards to tuck in the little pockets in the box. I had a lot of fun creating this project as I love making the explosion boxes.  

Nigdy nie jest za wcześnie, żeby zacząć tworzyć świąteczne projekty. Dlatego ja już teraz zrobiłam exploding box, który wypełniony słodyczami podaruję komuś na Boże Narodzenie w prezencie. Użyłam do niego papiery z kolekcji Frosty Days. 

Just another view of the box. The box measures 4x4 inches in size, and is the standard size of the explosion boxes. You can also create smaller lids for each of the layers, but I only created a lid for the outer layer. I may create a smaller li for the inner layer to contain the candy I plan to fill the box with.

This is closer view of the inside of the box. As you can see I tucked some of the fussy cut framed pictures that were on the inside of the collection cover, and the circles were adhered to the sides of the box.

Użyłam także kwadratowe ramki z tylnej strony okładki, które umieściłam w kieszonkach, a okrągłe z kolei przykleiłam bezpośredio na ścianki boxa.

I topped the cover with a piece of gauze,  and used the Scrap and Me Cut Out Leaves 08 to tuck in-between all of the flowers. I topped the flowers with a couple of Cut out Butterflies as well. I think there is a variety of colors on the Butterflies sheet to match any of the paper collections. And they are so sweet!! I tied around the top with silk ribbon, sari ribbon and jute. 

Wieko pudełka ozdobiłam gazą, kwiatami, listakami z arkusza 08, dodałam kilka motylki z arkusza Butterflies, jako że są w wielu kolorach idealnie nadają się na różne prace. Wieko obwiążałąm wstążką i sznurkiem.

When you pull off the lid, the box explodes to reveal a lot of tuck spot pockets for letters, cards or photos. The corners were cut out hearts, and I love the hearts on the corners as they create a very pretty box. I used the cut outs on the cover page of the paper pack. I found a scallop circle die in my stash to die cut the circles. And I also used a square die to cut out the frames pictures. I used some of the picture squares to tuck in the smaller pockets of the box. Photos can be mounted in the back of them. I adhered the scalloped circles to the outside of some of the pockets. 

Po otworzeniu pudełka widać ozdobne elemnty, tak jak kieszonki na życzenia czy zdjęcia, albo wycięte rogi w kształcie serca.

Here is a view of the explosion box fully opened. There are 3 different sized layers in the box. I will leave the inside hollow to fill with treats, so whoever opens the box will get a sweet surprise. 

Każda ścianka ma trzy warstwy, a na środku zostawiłam miejsce na małą niespodzankę - na słodycze.

To zaszczyt by Gościnną projektantką ScrapAndMe. Nie mogłam się doczekać, kiedy będę mogła pracować z piękną kolekcją Pink Blossom 2. Mam tak wiele zdjęć wnuczki, tuż po urodzeniu, kiedy jeszcze była taka maleńka i nosiła różowe ubranka. A to zdjęcie, które wybrałam jest idealne do kolekcji Pink Blossom 2. 

Zaczęłam i przyklejenia papieru 30x30 cm na tekturę falistą. Po wyschnięciu zwilżyłam lekko brzegi papieru, który następnie oderwałam, dzięki temu ukazała się fajna tekstura tektury. Brzegi papieru poprzecierałam w kilku miejscach i zwinęłam do środka. Gdy już wreszcie uzyskałam zamierzony efekt pozostawiłam wszystko do wyschnięcia, a tekturę falistą przetarłam gessem. 

I have been honored to Guest Design for Scrap and Me. I couldn't wait to work with this beautiful collection. Pink Blossoms 2. I have so many pictures of my granddaughter when she was born, and wearing pink! This photo goes perfectly with the Pink Blossom 2 Collection. 

I started by adhering the 12x12 paper on a piece of 12x12 corrugated cardboard using Mod Podge. After it dried, I wet the edges of the paper and cardboard and tore away  the paper along with the top layer of cardboard exposing the corrugated part of the cardboard. I distressed the ends of the top layers and tore and curled it in a  few places. Once I was satisfied with the distressing, I let it dry, then brushed the exposed cardboard with white gesso.

Podstawą dla zdjęcia stał się papier nr 07/08, podkleiłam go na tekturze i poddałam takiej samej obróbce jak z papierem bazowym. Pod kawałkami podzielonego arkusza wkleiła drzwi z Windows and Doors 2, które przecięłam na pół. Zdjęcie umieściłam w centralnym miejscu i również podkleiłam je na tekturze.

For the base of the photo mats, I used the Paper Blossoms 07/08, mounted it on 3 pieces of corrugated cardboard and did the same distressing treatment as I did with the background. I stacked them onto the background. I cut a door from the Windows and Doors 2, cut it in half, and tucked each piece on either side of the mat. I placed a piece of cardboard under the photo, and placed it in the middle. 

Wicięłam wiele liści z arkusza Leaves 4 oraz motyli z Butterflies. Moje kwiaty ułożyłam po przeciwległych rogach i prybrałam je wcześniej wyciętymi liśćmi, dodałam także motyle. 

I fussy cut the leaves from the Leaves 4 sheet, and butterflies from the Butterflies sheet. I placed my flowers on opposite corners of the mat, then tucked the leaves in and around all of around the flowers. I scattered some butterflies on the layout as well. I only adhered the butterflies by the bodies only, then fluffed up the wings. 

Jak widzicie moja praca ma wiele warstw. Wykończyłam moją pracę mieniącymi się kamieniami, dżetami i gdzie nie gdzie popryskałam białą farbą. Wydrukowałam również napis "I Hope You Dance" i przykleiłam go pod zdjęciem.

You can see the layers of dimension. I finished off the layout using Art Stones, rhinestones, and then spattered white paint over the floral and leaves clusters. I printed out the words "I Hope You Dance", and adhered it to the bottom of the photo.

Jeśli kochacie słoneczniki, pokochacie tą kolekcję. ScrapAndMe Sunflowers: jest naprawdę piękna! Jestem zaszczycona, że w tym miesiącu po raz kolejny jako Gościnna Projektantka mogę tworzyć z pięknymi kolekcjami tej marki. Uwielbiam słoneczniki, więc praca z tą kolekcją była dla mnie świetną zabawą. Zaczełam od oderwania jednego paska papieru Sunflowers 03/04 od góry, a drugiego od dołu, oszczędzając środkowy kawałek, z którego wykonałam dolną część moich ramek. Rozdarłam go w przypadkowy falisty wzór. Użyłam też Woods 05/06 do środkowej części makiety. Pomyślałam , że mój  layout'u 12 x 12, zszyję maszynowo wokół strony i wzdłuż falistej części papieru. Następnie postarzyłam końce falistych części, zwinęłam je i potuszowałam krawędzie. Do zamocowania papieru użyłem kawałka tektury falistej 12x12..

If you love sunflowers, then you are going to love this collection. Scrap And Me Sunflowers is so beautiful! I am honored to be Guest Designing once again this month and  creating with very beautiful collections. I love sunflowers, so working with this collection was a lot of fun for me. I started by tearing a strip of the Sunflowers 03/04 paper from the top, and another from the bottom, saving the middle piece which I used to create the bottom part of my frames. I tore it in a random wavy pattern. I used the Woods 05/06 for the middle part of the layout. Once I measured a  12 x12 layout, I machine stitched around the page, and along the wavy part of the papers. I then distressed the ends of the wavy parts and curled them up. I inked the edges. I used a piece of 12x12 corrugated cardboard to mount the paper on, creating a 12x12 layout for the background. 

Wykonałam słoneczniki przy użyciu wykrojników z papieru akwarelowego i postarzając je tuszem w kilku różnych kolorach. Ułożyłam je warstwami i dodałam trochę blasku za pomocą brokatu  Do stworzenia środka użyłam brązowych wyciorków, a na zewnętrznych krawędziach środka położyłam mikrokulki. Wycięłam cały arkusz Leaves 2. Zaczęłam od wsunięcia różnych liści pod kępki kwiatów, które stworzyłam. Gdy byłam zadowolona z ułożenia liści, użyłam rysika kulkowego i maty piankowej, aby nadać liściom lepszy kształt. Po nadaniu im tekstury i uformowaniu przykleiłem je z powrotem na miejsce. Użyłam również niektórych bukietów z arkusza do wycięcia.

 I created sunflowers die cutting them from watercolor paper and distress inking in a couple of different colors. I layered them, and added some sparkle with clear glitter. I used a brown pipe cleaner to create the middles, and then micro beads on the outer edges of the middles. I fussy cut the whole sheet of the Leaves 2 sheet. I began by tucking the various leaves under the flower clusters I created. Once I was satisfied with the placement of the leaves, I used a ball stylus and foam mat to bring the leaves to life. Once they were textured and formed, I glued them back in place. I also used some of the buds from the Sunflowers/Flowers sheet. 

Stworzyłam ramki używając dwóch różnych wykrojników i nakładając je na siebie. Do dolnej części ramki użyłam środkowego kawałka wycinanki z tła papieru Słoneczniki 03/04. Na górę ramy wykorzystałam resztę papieru Woods 05/06, który wyciąłem. Skleiłam obie ramki razem, tworząc wymiarową ramę dla moich zdjęć. Zamontowałam zdjęcia na tekturze falistej i umieściłem je na środku tam, gdzie było wycięcie z ramki. Wycięty kawałek wykorzystałam jako podkładka do moich zdjęć

I created the frames by using 2 different dies and layering them. For the bottom part of the frame, I used the middle piece of the cutout from the background Sunflowers paper 03/04. For the top of the frame, I used the rest of the Woods paper 05/06 that I cut away. I adhered both of the frames together created a dimensional frame for my photos. I mounted the photos on corrugated cardboard and placed them in the middle where the cut out was from the frame. I used the cut out piece as a guide for my photos.
