3rd album by Dismember. It shows off more of their mid-paced songs and is packed with memorable riffs. It is not the most intense Dismember album, but it shows the band attempting to expand their sound, adding in even more melody and attempting a different manner of conveying their message of death and doom. This record is, certainly, the most depressing of their career, bathing the listener in hopelessness and despair, in their own unique way.

Musically, you could say that this album picks up right where Mercyful Fate’s "Don’t Break the Oath" left off.

The album is apparently themed around the medieval German folk phenomena of rat kings and their association with plagues that ravaged Europe.

2nd album by The Cleansing, featuring ex members of Usipian, Iniquity and Panzerchrist. The sound is a burly, chunky and low end rumbling style of death metal that’s part european and part american. The band seems to be a little more focused on a more technical, vicious tone rather than purely relying on groove.
