about
‘Blur is a modern grunge powerhouse from start to finish, with lyrics focussing on self loathing, self deprecation and inferiority complexes. The track keeps an upbeat rock energy throughout as a contrast to the lyrical content and shows a new side to the band.
Blanket are self-releasing this track and have been involved in the recording, writing, artwork and full release. Blanket are touring next month to support this release and there is much more new music to follow…"
lyrics
Oh me
I am
An idiot at best
Oh please
I can
I’m worried about the rest
My
Head
Is spinning
I’m pouring myself out
Sinking further in
The flowers turned to stone
And crumbled (in your hands)
Now they’re falling at your feet
nobody ever asks do they?
It’s everything I want
I disappear alone
And try to understand
“Now Im watching myself
Sinking further in “
And I’ve come undone
And you were never wrong

This band is one of my favorite finds in the past few years. If you like these guys, please check out Superheaven, Nothing, Narrow Head, Greet Death, and Hum and Failure just in case you haven’t yet. Lanse
I remember in my childhood near a village there was a place full of dead trees, red and dead from all the chemicals that were dumped into the nearby bay from the chemical plant. That's exactly the vibes I get from this effort, similar in story or not. Morbid! But hopefully a wake up call for some as well. Aleksei Tepljakov
