1982 Skyway T/A
Original Owner Survivor
I originally received the frame and fork, in December, of 1982 and built the bike piece by piece, in red and blue. In the late 1980's, I traded some, of my original parts to change the color, of the bike and this is how it's looked, since then. I never took photos, of the original build and recently discovered the frame was manufactured, in Japan, in 1982. I had always thought they were all made, in the USA. Here's a list, of the parts, from the original build: chrome Skyway F/F and Skyway frame pad, cr-mo Race Inc bars, red & white Oakley F-1's, red Tuf-Neck stem (1st part I ever bought, with $20 dollars worth, of change, from a coin bank), red Cal lite bar and stem pad, blue Diamond Back 3 piece cranks, red Diamond Back pedals, blue Kashimax aero seat, red fluted aluminum seat post, blue Cycle Pro seat post clamp, blue Dia-Compe 890 brakes, blue Araya rims, blue Sunshine hubs, Suntour freewheel sprocket, chrome Sedis chain, and Mitsuboshi Comp III tires.
