These splendid silver-gilt tureens, with their flourish of cauliflowers, would be perfect for a warming winter soup. They were made for George III by the royal goldsmith, Thomas Heming. The tureens were intended to form part of a service for the king's coronation in 1761 but the service took a year to complete and therefore arrived too late. The tureens were used at an 'extremely magnificent banquet' for the visiting Christian VII of Denmark in 1768. https://bit.ly/3ZmTh67
