I had so much fun working on this painting! It can be easy to always get stuck in the headspace of 'what do people want to see' instead of 'what do I want to do', so I decided to paint something for myself for a change. I felt a bit out of practice and made a few silly mistakes but it was so nice to paint with no pressure. It still needs to be varnished before I can frame it, but I think it will look cute in my kitchen. Acrylic Paint on Canvas - Ramen Bowl - Shoyu Ramen - Japanese Food - Handpainted

I had so much fun working on this painting! It can be easy to always get stuck in the headspace of 'what do people want to see' instead of 'what do I want to do', so I decided to paint something for myself for a change. Size matters… That’s why I decided to make my largest artwork last year when I painted ‘Snowflakes’. Working on a piece that is bigger than I am required a lot of paint; 10 litres to be exact. It also required a lot of patience to paint each of the 61 figures but the result was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to make another painting this size. Perhaps even bigger!
