Old Apple Tree Paintings

The old Cortland apple trees on our farm are 80 or more years old. Now the vines I have been painting from the sides of roads are encroaching on what’s left of the apple orchard so the two series combine. The trees still flower and produce apples in the fall, they show their energy and beauty in their decline.
