Vietnamese Savory Puff Pastry This isn’t a traditional dish during Tet but it’s definitely a great appetizer that you can include. I didn’t use pate so if you like that then it can be added to the recipe. Ingredients: 3/4 lb ground pork 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp sugar 2/3 cup chopped onion 1 egg 1 tbsp water 2 pack of puff pastry (makes 9 per box) Defrost dough for about 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine pork, chicken bouillon powder, garlic powder, black pepper, sugar and onions. Mix everything together. In a large pan heat up 2 tbsps of butter on medium heat and then add 1 pound of shrimp and 2 tbsps of minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes then add 3 cups of rice, 2 eggs and 2 tbsps of sesame oil. Cook for a 1-2 mins to reheat the rice then add 1 cup of frozen assorted veggies and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Christy Nguyen on Instagram: "Vietnamese Egg Rolls Recipe - Chả Giò Filling: 1.5 lbs ground pork 1 ream bean thread noodle 1/2 cup dried wood ear mushrooms 1 cup grated carrot 1/2 cup grated shallot 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp white pepper 2 eggs Sealer: 1 tbsp flour 2 tbsp water 3 cups oil for frying. 1 pack egg roll wrappers (40 count) Soak bean thread noodles and wood ear mushroom in warm/hot water for 5 minutes. Drain and squeeze out excess water. Cut with scissors. In a bowl, add ground pork, bean thread noodles, wood ear mushroom, shallot, carrots, chicken bouillon powder, sugar, white pepper and eggs. Mix thoroughly to combine. Tip - if you want to taste the filling, microwave 1 tsp for about 45 seconds to cook it, then taste and adjust. Don’t over-sea
