break_fold is the project of ambient electronic producer Tim Hann, who first unveiled his glitch-charged sound in 2017 with his debut album 27_05_17 - 21_01_18. Since emerging from Bradford’s music scene, he has been refining a bold and unmistakable sonic identity, blending fractured textures with flashes of euphoria to create what he calls "pessimism and optimism in equal measure”.

His first full-length release since This Was Forever in 2023, the Planner EP emerges as a response to Hann’s North East heritage, drawing on the dialectal traits of his family members in the 1990s to shape each track’s narrative. “The EP is like my personal time capsule of special family moments,” explains Hann. “The Planner EP is a reference to my Dad, who gave himself nicknames that others in the family then started using - ‘planner’ is when my Dad was in work mode, as that’s what he did for work.”
