This collection of four oil and gas company signs was assembled by the seller over several years, and each has internal illumination powered by US-style circuitry. The collection includes a Chevron, a Texaco, and two Shell signs. Each sign consists of plastic and metal construction. These four signs are now offered at no reserve in Buckeye, Arizona.

The Shell sign measures around 8 feet long and is constructed of five individual letters attached to a metal frame. Each letter is around 20″ tall by 5″ deep. Cracks have been repaired, and the lower portion of the second “L” is darker where the piece was re-shaped. The wiring and 110-volt fixtures have been replaced.

The Shell-logo sign has a red and yellow Pecten logo against a white rectangular panel. The sign measures approximately 50″ wide by 47″ tall by 4″ deep. Illumination is provided by fluorescent tubes.

Texaco first used the star as part of its logo in 1903, the year after the company was founded in Beaumont, Texas. A rectangular black panel incorporates a translucent red “T” against a white star. Red Texaco lettering underscores the circular design element. The dimensions of the sign are approximately 91″ tall by 76″ wide by 5″ deep. Blemishes are depicted in the gallery below.

Chevron traces its history back to September 10, 1879, when the Pacific Coast Oil Co. was established in California. The translucent face displays the company logo in red and blue with black “Chevron” text against a white background. The sign measures around 56″ tall by 50″ wide by 4″ deep.
