Since one collaboration with the prolific SelloRekt / LA Dreams was simply not enough (never enough!), Bunny X once again reached out about an additional collaboration track by way of Chiba City Blues, originally titled Without You, which was released on SelloRekt / LA Dreams’ August 2022 album Closer. Similar to Breaking Away (Song for Chevette & Rydell), Chiba City Blues was inspired by the work of science-fiction author William Gibson, understood widely to be the founder of cyberpunk.

The Sprawl trilogy, which Chiba City Blues is based upon, is Gibson's first set of novels, which consists of Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive. Chiba City Blues takes place in the future dystopian underworld of Chiba City, Japan and is specifically about anti-hero Henry Case, a retired cyberspace hacker or “console cowboy” hired to do one final job which brings him into contact with a formidable AI.
