Noch viel mehr #Kameraüberwachung und die Forderungen nach noch mehr #Polizei in Zügen und an Bahnhöfen sollen das große Überwachungsprojekt "Deutsche Bahn" ergänzen, das in wenigen Monaten auch mit dem Echtzeit-Tracking von Passagier*innen in Bus und Bahn über das #49€-Ticket beginnen wird und wohl zunehmend nicht-personalisierte Tickets verdrängen will.
Die "erhöhte Sicherheit" wird dann vermutlich wie immer primär gegen Leute ohne gültige Fahrscheine, Obdachlose oder Menschen, deren Aussehen der Polizei einfach nicht passt, angewendet.
Immerhin einer kann sich freuen: Horst Seehofers autoritäre Bahnträumereien werden jetzt auch ohne ihn als Innenminister von den ihn in kaum etwas nachstehenden Parteien #SPD, #Grünen und #FDP in Deutschland wahr gemacht.

It would be nice if the registration emails you sent did not contain tracking URLs. I wanted to share with someone the URL for signing up that I got with my registration email. I copy the URL and paste it, only to find that it is corrupted with tracking. I had to go back and select the text to avoid copying the tracking URL.
I shouldn't have to do this.

"Bei Ermittlungen dürfen die Handys von Verdächtigen überwacht werden. Die Thüringer Polizei hat von dieser Möglichkeit zuletzt tausendfach Gebrauch gemacht.
Bei strafrechtlichen Ermittlungen hat die Thüringer Polizei im vergangenen Jahr fast 14.600 sogenannte stille SMS verschickt, um den Aufenthaltsort von Verdächtigen festzustellen. In 99 Ermittlungsverfahren sei diese Technik im Jahr 2024 zum Einsatz gekommen, heißt es in einer Antwort des Innenministeriums auf eine Anfrage der Linke-Landtagsfraktion. "Stille SMS" sind Kurznachrichten, die beim Empfang nicht im Display angezeigt werden und auch keinen Benachrichtigungston auslösen.
Beim Empfang einer stillen SMS erhalten die Behörden vom Telefon eine Rückmeldung dazu, in welcher Mobilfunkzelle das Handy eingeloggt ist. Ermittler können damit relativ präzise bestimmen, wo sich ein Handy befindet und so Rückschlüsse auf den aktuellen Aufenthaltsort der Person ziehen, die das Mobiltelefon gerade bei sich trägt. Laut Innenministerium sind in Thüringen sowohl das Landeskriminalamt als auch das Amt für Verfassungsschutz technisch in der Lage, stille SMS zu schicken"
