💡 Being first means believing in what hasn’t been done yet. Margaret Hamilton helped shape the software that guided NASA’s Apollo missions. As one of the first programmers on the Apollo project, she stepped into a field where women were rarely given that opportunity. Her story is a reminder that innovation often begins with curiosity, courage, and the willingness to take on something new. You don’t need to follow an established path to make an impact. Sometimes, the most meaningful contributions come from creating a path of your own. 💬 What’s one thing you’d love to be the first to do? #WomenInTech #WomenInSTEM #WomenInHistory #Innovation #WomenInLeadership #TechPioneers

☕ What does it take to build a workplace where people can grow, contribute, and keep up with change? We had the pleasure of welcoming Mariluz Blandon, Director, Global Belonging Strategy at Autodesk, to our latest Coffee with HR conversation on Inclusive Innovation for the Future of Work. Together, we explored the people side of innovation, from workplace culture and belonging to professional development, leadership, and navigating change in a fast-moving business environment. The insights that stood out with us: 💬 “First and foremost, you do have to prioritize your business. That's the bottom line. And prioritizing the business sometimes means you just have to move fast because the market is moving fast, because the industry is moving fast.” 💬 “Give people opportunities to practically apply it, and show them and tell them what practical application means.” ❗These reminders bring together two important sides of the future of work: the need for organizations to adapt quickly and the importance of giving people meaningful opportunities to learn, apply new skills, and contribute. 💜 A big thank you to Mariluz for sharing her experience and perspectives so openly, and to everyone who joined us, asked questions, and contributed to the conversation! We look forward to continuing these discussions over more cups of coffee. ☕ 👉 How can organizations balance moving quickly with giving people the opportunity to grow? #WomenTechNetwork #CoffeeWithHR #WomenInTech #FutureOfWork #InclusiveLeadership #WorkplaceCulture #Autodesk #Networking

Remembering Margaret Hamilton (1936 – 2026), a pioneer who helped change the course of technology. Long before software engineering became a recognized discipline, Margaret Hamilton was helping define what it could be. As the leader of the team developing onboard flight software for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Apollo missions, her work played a critical role in humanity's first Moon landing. When Apollo 11's computer raised alarms during the descent, her team's software helped keep the mission on track. Her contributions went far beyond Apollo. She helped establish software engineering as a discipline and set standards for building reliable systems that continue to influence technology today. Reflecting on her groundbreaking work, Hamilton once said: “I was attracted both by the sheer idea and the fact that it had never been done before.” Her legacy lives on in the technology we build and the generations of engineers she continues to inspire. 💜 #MargaretHamilton #WomenInTech #SoftwareEngineering #WomenTechNetwork #TechPioneers
