Join us in welcoming Top 40 alumna, Manjit Minhas, to our Top 40 Advisory Board! Manjit is an entrepreneur, investor and television personality best known as a star of CBC’s Dragons’ Den, which she joined in 2015. At 19, Manjit co-founded what would become Minhas Breweries & Distilleries with her brother, Ravinder. Today, the privately owned group generates annual revenues exceeding $300 million and produces more than 90 brands of beer, spirits, liqueurs and wine. Its products are sold across Canada, in 47 U.S. states and in 16 other countries. In 2006, Manjit and Ravinder became the world’s youngest brewery owners when they acquired the historic Joseph Huber Brewery in Monroe, Wisconsin. Renamed Minhas Craft Brewery, the facility was subsequently modernized and expanded. The Minhas companies have since sold more than 12 billion pints of products, including Boxer Lager and Mountain Crest. Through Dragons’ Den, Manjit has invested in more than three dozen businesses and shared her entrepreneurial experience with millions of Canadians. In 2024, she and Ravinder also became owners of the Edmonton Stingers. Manjit serves on the boards of Enbridge, ATB Financial and the Calgary Airport Authority. She was appointed Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada in 2023 and received the United Nations Association in Canada’s Global Citizen Laureate Award in 2024.

We welcome Andrew MacLeod, President and CEO of Postmedia Network Inc. to our Top 40 Advisory Board! Andrew was appointed President and CEO of Postmedia in January 2019 and a Director of Postmedia in April 2019, after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer since 2017, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2016 and Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer since July 2014. Prior to that, he held a number of senior executive positions in the technology industry, serving as the Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of North America at BlackBerry Limited. Mr. MacLeod currently serves as Director of Waterfront Toronto, Communitech and is the Chair of each of Invest Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum.

His writing and commentary appear in outlets including Harvard Business Review, Fast Company and Inc. Magazine. He has delivered thousands of keynotes across both B2B and B2C industries and is a member of Dr. Marshall Goldsmith’s 100 Coaches and the Thinkers50 Radar. Mitch also hosts Groove – The No Treble Podcast, documenting the oral history of electric bass players.

We are delighted to have Top 40 Alumnus Irfhan Rawji join our Top 40 Advisory Board! Irfhan is Managing Partner with Realize Capital Partners, a fund-of-funds social finance asset manager, recently launched with an anchor commitment of C$135MM from the Government of Canada. Irfhan is also an entrepreneur, and is founder and executive chair of Canadian start-up MobSquad, whose mission is to ensure high-calibre technology talent from around the world can build lives and careers within Canada. Irfhan serves on the boards of The Logic (Chair), National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA), and Wilmington Capital Management (TSX:WCM). He is actively involved in civic affairs, currently volunteering as Co-Chair of the $205MM Glenbow Reimagined capital campaign, Board Chair of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, Board Chair of CIFAR, Board Member of Business and the Arts, Board Member of the Aga Khan Museum, and Member of the Canada Council for the Arts. Additionally, Irfhan serves as a member of the New Economy Advisory Committee of the Alberta Securities Commission, the National Advisory Committee of The Walrus, and is an Advisor to the Canadian Urban Institute, Windmill Microlending as well as Platform Calgary. Join us in welcoming Dominique Hussey, CEO of Bennett Jones to the Top 40 Advisory Board! As CEO, Dominique is responsible for the executive management and operation of the firm. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bennett Jones partnership, on which she served as Lead Director for four years before being named Vice-Chair and Toronto Managing Partner, the role that she held prior to her appointment as CEO. Dominique also leads the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation group and is co-head of its Innovation, Technology and Branding group. She was named Outstanding Practitioner in Patent Law by Managing IP in their Americas Awards in 2020 and was a finalist for the 2021 Canadian Patent Litigator of the Year in LMG Life Sciences Awards North America. For the last eight years, Managing IP has named her in the Top 250 Women in IP in the world. In 2021, Dominique received the inaugural Chambers Canada Law Firm Leaders Award for her work as Managing Partner. Dominique is depended on to structure and negotiate complex strategic settlements and arrangements, with an eye to positive business and litigation outcomes. She also offers her experience to assist clients in navigating the IP aspects of corporate acquisition, re-organization, and joint ventures, including—with respect to the life sciences and health care industries—the regulatory aspects. She regularly writes, speaks, and teaches on the topics of written and oral advocacy, litigation, intellectual property, and leadership. Dominique is immediate past President of The Advocates’ Society, and currently serves on the boards of the non-profit organizations of the BlackNorth Initiative and the Stratford Festival.

He is a seasoned global executive and transformational leader with over two decades in the energy business in roles spanning operations, entrepreneurial ventures, investment banking, and corporate advisory services. He has invested over $12 billion in growing long-term value for energy and energy transition companies. Before joining Capital Power, Avik was Managing Director - Partner, and Co-Head of Carlyle International Energy Partners. He was also the CFO & Chief Transformation Officer for NOVA Chemicals, a leading global polyethylene producer. Previously, Avik served as Managing Director and Head of Energy & Resources at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and was a member of the Global Leadership Team, Chair of the Energy & Resources Investment Committee, and Real Assets Investment & Management Committees. Avik strongly believes in fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and currently serves as the Director of Enactus Canada, an international non-profit helping university students solve the world's biggest problems through social innovation. He has previously served on the boards of Calpine Corporation, Seven Generations Energy, Teine Energy, Wolf Midstream, and Crestone Peak Resources. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Business Council of Alberta (BCA), Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS), and ATS Corporation.
