An exciting new milestone for Postmedia Studios. We’re proud to be a co-producer of Bricklin: The Gullwing Gamble, a new three-part Canadian docuseries created in partnership with Cazador Inc. and premiering Aug. 6 on Fibe TV1. The series tells a unique Canadian story, bringing together the strength of Postmedia’s extensive news archives, the automotive expertise of Driving.ca editor Clayton Seams and the creative, promotional and audience reach of teams across our organization. It is a powerful example of what Postmedia can bring to original productions: trusted journalism, expert voices, rich Canadian storytelling and the ability to connect compelling content with audiences across the country. This summer, Supergirl is landing on Postmedia front pages. Postmedia is proud to team up with Warner Bros. and DC on a national campaign for the new Supergirl feature film, bringing one of the summer’s major releases to life across our print and promotional platforms. The campaign includes Supergirl-themed cover executions in the Toronto Sun and The Province, along with a national promotion that gives fans across Canada the chance to win movie passes and a limited-edition Supergirl watch. Congratulations to the Edmonton Journal and MacEwan University team on winning Gold in Data Journalism at the 2025 CAJ Awards for “Risky Restaurants.” The award recognizes “Crawling bugs and half-baked enforcement: Alberta’s restaurant inspections a recipe for foodborne illness,” a special partnership between the Edmonton Journal and MacEwan University’s journalism program. Reporters analysed public data and found that more than 250 Edmonton restaurants had gone more than two years without an inspection. This national recognition celebrates the power of rigorous, public-interest journalism and the impact of collaboration between newsroom professionals and emerging journalists, with reporting by Steve Lillebuen, Matthew Black, Chris Allen and David Slater. Congratulations again to everyone involved. https://lnkd.in/gpyppHDw
