Do the omelette on the toast. Baked egg toast. This is the power of breakfast you've been waiting for. Let's do it. Since this is an egg recipe, we're going to start with, well, eggs. First thing, preheat the oven to three seventy-five. We need about four eggs. Little pinch of cushion salt, black pepper, and then you can season the eggs however you like. I like a little heat so I'm going for a leprechaun, red pepper flakes are fine and then a dash of sweet Spanish paprika with I find whisking eggs very therapeutic. This is a great opportunity to use up any veggies you have on hand. I'm going to start with some cherry tomato. No tomato left behind. Everything is going in this bowl with the eggs. Bell pepper, any color you want. If it's too big, maybe just half a pepper. Watch your finger. There we go. Bell peppers go in. I'm going to use some green onions. Trim them a little bit. Really good flavor. Chop them up. Some fresh parsley. Give them a good chop. A little bit of cheese. Feta makes it better and always crumble your own feta. A little drizzle of extra virgin olive oil right in the egg mix and just mix this party. Any bread you like but I do like it a little bit thicker for this particular situation. You want it to be sturdy enough to handle this beautiful goodness that we put together. Little drizzle of some good extra virgin olive oil. You could use a brush or try this trick. Take your bread because you don't want to waste it. No evil left behind here and kind of push down on the middle part of your toast. Just a little bit to make room. Grab your omelette mixture right here. Here we go. Look at this beautiful goodness. Beauty. Whatever is left here, just go around and add it. See that? See what I did there? If y'all want to mix this in a separate bowl and pour it in, you can but as far as I'm concerned, there's really no reason to do that. I mean, you know, we're right here. We're doing it right here. So, you know what else we need to add to this part right now? A little seasoning. Um let's see what we do. Oh gosh, that's a lot of salt. Just a little bit of salt. I'm going to put the rest over here. Little bit of salt, little bit of pepper. If you want to put other seasonings, you can but that's all I'm going to use today, alright? Mixy mixy mix. So I'm just putting some some deli ham in here. And that's it. Yep and I'm again I'm trying to make this kind of healthy. So this is like the super lean kind. It's like almost fat free alright? Enjoy!! - - - Recipe: 6 croissants 6 slices of Swiss cheese 12 slices of ham 6 eggs 1 cup milk 2 tbsp butter, melted Spices: 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Instructions: * Preheat oven to 375F (if baking right away) Grease a large 9x13-inch baking dish. * Take one croissant at a time, cut it open, not cutting all the way through. Add one slice of cheese and two slices of ham. Add the sandwich to the baking dish. Repeat with the remaining croissants * In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic, onion, paprika, parsley, salt and pepper until combined. Pour into the baking dish, avoiding the tops of the sandwiches directly. Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter * Cover and add to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight. Remove and bake at 375F for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the eggs are no longer runny. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley. Cut and serve immediately.
