"The Rainbow Connection" is a song originally written for The Muppet Movie and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song in 1979. It is sung by Kermit the Frog as the movie's opening number and reprised by the whole cast of Muppets at the end of the movie, but with slightly different lyrics. "Movin' Right Along" is sung in The Muppet Movie by Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear as they set out together in Fozzie's Studebaker for California. The song is generally upbeat and has a number of comical lines reflecting the passing scenery, such as Fozzie singing "Hey, I've never seen the sun come up in the west?"
