Weaving knitting

Hand manipulated, alternating 1x1 ribbing, tuck fabric in between beds, knit, then switch the k to r stitches. Top portion (green plaid) is the knit side, every 4th stitch was moved to the rib bed, then switched back and the next one moved down.

Once you take up weaving, you become a maker of cloth. In quite a magical way, you are able to produce your own fabric.You can either choose to weave an item that is basically finished when it comes off the loom, or you can use your hand woven cloth as a stepping stone or starting point for something else.If you have, or can learn basic sewing skills, you are well on your way to creating unlimited projects with your handwoven fabric.

I had my ups and downs but over all I think I actually like weaving with mohair. It was definitely a change of pace from my normal weaving. My style is usually heavy with texture, so this was a challenge to make something lighter. Mohair is much more tacky then the yarns I usually weave with,
