Southern Baked Yams!!!
1hr 10min · 6 servings Candied Yams • 6 large yams, peeled and sliced • 1 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar • 1 3/4 cup of granulated sugar • 2 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon • 2 Tbsp Nana’s Sugar and Spice Blend • 2 Tbsp of vanilla extract • 1 hefty drizzle of syrup • 8 Tbsp butter, unsalted and sliced 3 cups of miniature marshmallows Preheat your oven 375 In a baking dish layer your yams. Top them with Nana’s seasoning blend, cinnamon, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, syrup, and butter. Cover with aluminum foil. Place your dish in the oven to bake for 40 minutes. Remove the cover and cook for 10-15 minutes. Top with your marshmallows and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it stand for 5 minutes. Once those minutes are up you may enjoy!!!!
