Vintage Hidden Mother Photos

Photography was a new and magical technology in Victorian time. The "Hidden Mother" photos focus the subject on the person, usually a child. The children werenʻt always deceased. Indeed, many were very much alive. Photos took a long time to set up, and children had a hard time trying to sit still for so long. Some pinners call these "creepy." I think theyʻre wonderful.
