Kitation blogs on mostly on accessibility, mental health, and computer games.

Jan writes about his extensive experience with CouchDB, offline first, JavaScript, open source, and non technical things too.

Richard mostly blogs about digital rights and privacy in the UK.

You name it, Tom's tried to make it: knives, knitwear, backpacks, weather balloons, anything. Lots of outdoor adventures too: bike packing, kayaking, etc.

Mat's technical blog mostly about Java, Linux packaging, and Eclipse hacking in particular.

Ben's technical blog mostly on Linux and BSD sysadmin and programming topics.

Katie's blog mostly on frontend development. You'll also find links to some of her excellent conference talks here.

Local organisations and events

Local maker space in historic Portland Works.

Regather is a Sheffield based organisation running an organic farm, veg box scheme, and other community projects.

A social enterprise fruit tree nursery based in Meersbrook, South Sheffield.

A regular pop-up vegetarian and vegan social eating cafe in Chesterfield.

A great team of volunteers who run regular sustainability workshops, events and projects. I recommend their email newsletter if you live in the area.
