Model's Own and a Stroke of Brilliance

Here I have for you two polishes I got during my trip, Model's Own Beth's Blue, which I got from the Model's Own polish store at Westfield London, and Essie Stroke of Brilliance which I got from Klout Perks in the mail during my vacation.

I am in absolute awe of these two polishes together. They are amazing!

The formula on the model's own was nice, it was a tad thick, and you don't want to be sitting near a fan when you apply it, but it was opaque in 1 coat, I applied 2 just to be safe and make sure there were no streaky spots. Then I applied Essie Stroke of Brilliance, which is an awesome blue glitter with small, medium and large hex glitters. I used 1 thick coat and dabbed it on my nails, so I got good coverage.

I think these two colors go great together, the blue in both of them have a slight periwinkle tint to them, and I think the combo looks great.

A photo with the Essie bottle.

And the labels.

I love this so much!  what do you think?

Purple Chevrons With Dots!

Hi all!  For the last couple of days, I have been gearing up for the next few weeks, which I have some amazing things in store! I am starting a new challenge, and I have an awesome lineup of guest posts for when I go on vacation, so there are some awesome things in store for the upcoming weeks! I really can't wait!

Today I have some purple Chevrons for you. I am loving the chevron look, so I wanted to post another set I have done.

I used Color Club Lavendarling for the light purple base, followed by Essie No More Film for the chevrons. I added white dots below the chevron line and added a topcoat to finish it off!

Sorry for the quick post! I am just headed out to paint my nails, and I wanted to post!

Essie and Spoiled Stripes

Ahhhh stripes.  I love stripes. And these stripes are awesome!

I started with a base of 2 coats of Spoiled I Only Eat Salads, followed by striping tape and painting with Essie No More Film.  I think that the color combination is really great together, and the stripes really are a great accent.

I have to say that the green, Spoiled - I Only Eat Salads, Stained my nails SO BAD! My nails were green after I took the polish off, which just makes me remember to put on a base coat now, and to never forget before I use a green or blue again.

Essie No More Film with Stamping

For these nails I used Essie No More Film as the base.   It is a blurple that leans more purple in real life.  There are hints of blue though, so it is really hard to photograph. I got No More Film with copious credits last week when they gave $10 extra.  I am still waiting on 2 other polishes, and I plan to do a dupe post of the many blues I have now. lol

The formula was really great, it covered in 1 coat, but I did 2 for good measure. I then stamped with Sally Hansen Insta Dri Whirlwind White using Cheeky Ch10 for the stamp.

I really like how this one turned out. It kind of reminds me of cool wallpaper. lol

Subtle Stamping: Essie to Buy or Not to Buy

Sorry I haven't been very active recently! I purchased some new nail foils and I have been experimenting with them, and searching for a top coat that doesn't crinkle it.

I found this Essie for $2 at my local Rite Aid and I used Sally Hansen InstaDri Whirlwind White for the stamping, which I also found at Rite Aid on clearance.

Essie To Buy or Not to Buy stamped with Red Angel RA114.

Day 2: Chelcea Flower Show

I decided to participate in the Summer Challenge in the Purple Crumpet Challenge, which lasts all summer.  I don't know if I will be able to participate every single day, but I am going to try my hardest to do them all.

Ok, I had my day 1 mani, and right after I painted it I had to use my hands, and it got ruined, so thats why I am starting with day 2. :P

Day 2 is the Chelcea Flower Show.  The colors used in this mani are Essie Ole Caliente, Color Club Pucci-licious, Lippmann Almost Paradise, and Wet N Wild Black Creme.

Rainbow Fish Nails- Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge

The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge this week was animal print.  well... I didn't want to do the normal cheetah or zeebra print.  So I decided on using my Red Angel Plates and the fish scale design on it.  This is what I came up with, and it is AWESOME!

Its a Rainbow Fish!

What I used:
Color Club - Cold Metal (from the foiled collection)
Essie - Shine of the Times
Finger Paints - Motley
Finger Paints - Sparkle Top Coat
Finger Paints - Twisted
(*then I added Seche Vite top coat to speed up the process and so I could stamp*)
Red Angel Stamp RA111 with Wet N Wild Black Creme stamped on.

This is what it looked like before the stamp.

And another pic of the Amazing fish scale design. :)

Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed it as well! :)

Essie - Shine of the Times - Luxeffects

OK so today I strolled into a walgreens on my way home looking for the Essie Luxeffects and guess what I found.... Essie Luxeffects!!

The one that I bought is called Shine of the Times.  It is an amazing duochrome flakie that flashes red-orange-green.

This is one coat over Wet N Wild Black Creme.

just look for yourself....

She is supposed to be a dupe of Nubar 2010 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (neither of which I own unfortunately)  This is the first duo-flakie I own and I am LOVING it.

NOTD

This morning I decided I wanted to do a black matte, but not just any black matte. I wanted to do an awesome black matte. wanna see what I came up with?

Of course you do! because its awesome. :P

I know... glitter on my cuticles.. but it comes off in the shower...

Anywho, back to these awesome nails. I used Seche Base(so it doesn't stain), 2 coats of Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris, I concentrated some Ulta Pinata-yada on the base and placed the others around it, and then I used Essie Matte About You in two coats to give it that extra something.  And that extra something is awesomeness.  ok enough talking and on to more picture spam! (I got a little carried away with my camera. :)  )

What do you think?  Let me know in the comments!
