The layout of the kain kodek consists of kepala (the head) and badan (the body). The kepala is built up by a row of isosceles triangles called pucuk rebung (bamoo shoots), a symbol of fertility and new growth. The kain kodek is meant to convey divine blessings upon the new couple as well as confirm the new status of both bride and groom.
