First number of Margaret Fuller's translation of the fictitious correspondence between Bettina Brentano and Caroline Günderode, preceded by "Translator's preface " and an extract from her article in the Dial entitled "Bettina Brentano and her friend Günderode." Three more numbers announced never appeared; the translation was later completed by Mrs. Wesselhoeft in her anonymous edition of the "Correspondence of Fräulein Günderode and Bettine von Arnim." Boston, 1861.
