A remastered collection of tracks written in 2017, five years before I started my transition. At the time, they were written out of creative necessity and desperation. Listening to them now, I hear confusion, pain and a repressed need for clarity.

Very rarely when I listen to my old music, my inner critic remains silent. Instead, in these tracks I hear the voice of someone who was struggling to make sense of herself and the world around her. My transition saved my life because I was not living - I was merely surviving before I knew, accepted and embraced who I am.
