L'esthétique futuriste est composée de lignes droites, de quadrillages, d'angles pointus : elle fusionne élégance avec efficacité. Cavern la reprend dans Monofuture, compilation qui réunit ses deux premiers albums, mais à d'autres fins. Sa synthwave ne s'appuie presque jamais sur les kicks électroniques habituels : ambiante, elle ne garde que la tristesse et la monotonie. Les allusions récurrentes à la mythologie fixent encore plus ce concept de destin, comme s'il était tissé par les Moires...

J'ai redouté cet Eleventh hour, prévoyant à partir de la pochette un hommage appuyé envers Top Gun, film qui me laisse de marbre. Dans les faits, j'ai été surpris d'y entendre une réflexion sur le temps aussi profonde que celle de desert sand feels warm at night dans sa trilogie des koïs. Steven Grace, lui, arrive à un constat d'échec amer, ne parvenant pas à suspendre le temps. Son electro de l'école berlinoise favorise la méditation mais elle marche main dans la main avec la mélancolie...
