In response to the 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) Feasibility Study was launched as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC ‘integrated programme’, described in this report, in a first stage consists of a highest-luminosity electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, serving as Higgs, top and electroweak factory, with a subsequent energy-frontier proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, as the second stage. The FCC-ee is designed to operate at four baseline centre-of-mass energies, corresponding to the Z pole, the WW pair production threshold, the ZH production peak, and the top/anti-top production threshold, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments. Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report : Volume 3, Civil Engineering, Implementation and Sustainability
/ FCC Collaboration
Volume 3 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents studies related to civil engineering, the development of a project implementation scenario, and environmental and sustainability aspects. The report details the iterative improvements made to the civil engineering concepts since 2018, taking into account subsurface conditions, accelerator and experiment requirements, and territorial considerations. Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study Report Volume 1 : Physics and Experiments
/ Benedikt, M. (CERN) ; Zimmermann, F. (CERN) ; Auchmann, B. (CERN ; PSI, Villigen) ; Bartmann, W. (CERN) ; Burnet, J.P. (CERN) ; Carli, C. (CERN) ; Chancé, A. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Craievich, P. (PSI, Villigen) ; Giovannozzi, M. (CERN) ; Grojean, C. (DESY ; Humboldt U., Berlin) et al.
Volume 1 of the FCC Feasibility Report presents an overview of the physics case, experimental programme, and detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC). This volume outlines how the FCC would address some of the most profound open questions in particle physics, from precision studies of the Higgs and EW bosons and of the top quark, to the exploration of physics beyond the Standard Model. Effects of Cavity Pre-Detuning on RF Power Transients at Injection into the LHC

At injection into the LHC, the RF system is perturbed by beam-induced voltage resulting in strong RF power transients and the instant detuning of the cavities. The automatic tuning system, however, needs time for the mechanical compensation of the resonance frequency to take place. [...]

The LHC RF cryomodule "Asia" suffered an accidental influx of about 0.5 l of tunnel air during the leak checks of the pumping manifolds. The resulting risk of particle contamination was difficult to assess, and could not be excluded with certainty. [...]

In 2021 the Super Proton Synchrotron has been recommissioned after a complete renovation of its low level RF system (LLRF). The new system has largely moved to digital signal processing implemented as a set of functional blocks (IP cores) in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) with associated software to control them.
