β- and α-decay spectroscopy of Au182
/ ISOLDE Decay Station Collaboration
An α- and β-decay study of a pure source of laser-ionized and mass-separated Au182 (Z = 79, N = 103) was carried out at the ISOLDE Decay Station at the ISOLDE-CERN facility. Detailed γ-γ analysis following EC/β+ decay of Au182 was performed, and the level scheme of daughter nuclide Pt182 was considerably extended via the identification of 125 new levels and 336 new γ-ray transitions. New upper limits for β-delayed fission probabilities of Fr230,232 and Ac230,232,234
/ Bara, S (Leuven U.) ; Algora, A (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Andel, B (Comenius U.) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England) ; Antalic, S (Comenius U.) ; Bark, R A (iThemba LABS) ; Borge, M J G (Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia) ; Camaiani, A (Leuven U. ; INFN, Florence ; U. Florence (main)) ; Cocolios, T E (Leuven U.) ; Cubiss, J G (Edinburgh U. ; York U., England) et al.
The process of β-delayed fission (βDF) of Fr230,232 and Ac230,232,234 was studied in an experiment performed at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. As no fission fragments were observed for any of the nuclei investigated, upper limits for their βDF probability (PβDF) were determined. [...]

Isospin symmetry breaking in the T=1, A=70 triplet
/ Zimba, G L (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Ruotsalainen, P (Jyvaskyla U.) ; De Gregorio, G (Rome III U. ; INFN, Naples) ; de Angelis, G (INFN, Legnaro) ; Sarén, J (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Uusitalo, J (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Auranen, K (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Briscoe, A D (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Ge, Z (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Grahn, T (Jyvaskyla U.) et al.
Excited states in the Kr70 and Br70 nuclei were populated via the Ca40(S32,2n)Kr70 and Ca40(S32,pn)Br70 fusion-evaporation reactions at the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä. The 2+⟶0+ and 4+⟶2+ transitions in Kr70 have been found to be 881(1) keV and (tentatively) 1037(2) keV, respectively. [...]

In-beam γ-ray spectroscopy of Ac211,213 and Ra211
/ Louko, J (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Auranen, K (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Uusitalo, J (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Briscoe, A D (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Grahn, T (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Greenlees, P T (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Illana, A (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Joukainen, H (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Julin, R (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Jutila, H (Jyvaskyla U.) et al.
The first in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic study of the neutron-deficient actinium isotopes Ac211,213 has been carried out at the Accelerator Laboratory of the University of Jyväskylä using a highly selective recoil-decay tagging method with the jurogam 3 germanium-detector array and MARA separator. The nuclei of interest were produced using the Lu175(Ar40,4n)Ac211 and Hf180(Cl37,4n)Ac213 fusion-evaporation reactions. [...]

We investigated decays of $^{51, 52, 53}\mathrm{K}$ at the ISOLDE Decay Station at CERN in order to understand the mechanism of the $\beta$-delayed neutron-emission ($\beta n$) process. The experiment quantified neutron and $\gamma$-ray emission paths for each precursor [...]

The $^{76}$Cu conundrum remains unsolved
/ IDS Collaboration
Near the doubly-magic nucleus \nuc{Ni}{78} ($Z=28$, $N=50$), there has been a decades-long debate on the existence of a long-lived isomer in \nuc{Cu}{76}. A recent mass measurement claimed to have settled the debate, by measuring the energy of the isomer and shedding light on the structure of the nucleus. [...]

Direct measurement of three different deformations near the ground state in an atomic nucleus
/ Montes Plaza, Adrian (Liverpool U. ; Jyvaskyla U.) ; Pakarinen, Janne (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Papadakis, Philippos (Daresbury) ; Herzberg, Rolf-Dietmar (Liverpool U.) ; Julin, Rauno (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Rodríguez, Tomás R (Madrid U.) ; Briscoe, Andrew D (Jyvaskyla U. ; Liverpool U.) ; Illana, Andrés (Jyvaskyla U. ; Madrid U.) ; Ojala, Joonas (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Ruotsalainen, Panu (Jyvaskyla U.) et al.
Atomic nuclei serve as prime laboratories for investigations of complex quantum phenomena, where minor nucleon rearrangements cause significant structural changes. $^{190}$Pb is the heaviest known neutron-deficient Pb isotope that can exhibit three distinct shapes: prolate, oblate, and spherical, with nearly degenerate excitation energies. Charge radii of thallium isotopes near the N=126 shell closure
/ IDS Collaboration
The changes in the mean-squared charge radius of Tlg209 (N=128) and Tlm207 (N=126) relative to Tl205 have been measured for the first time using the in-source laser resonance-ionization spectroscopy technique with the Laser Ion Source and Trap (LIST) at ISOLDE (CERN). The application of the LIST suppresses the dominant background from isobaric francium isotopes and allows access to thallium nuclides with A⩾207. [...]
