The dark dimension, proton decay, and the length of the M-theory interval / Reig, Mario (CERN) ; Ruiz, Ignacio (CERN)
The existence of a large extra dimension in which only gravity propagates would have spectacular consequences for cosmology and laboratory experiments. [...]

Five-dimensional gravitational Raman scattering: Scalar wave perturbations in Schwarzschild-Tangherlini spacetime / Akhtar, Samim (IMSc, Chennai ; HBNI, Mumbai) ; Bautista, Yilber Fabian (IPhT, Saclay) ; Iossa, Cristoforo (U. Geneva (main) ; CERN) ; Zhou, Zihan (Princeton U.)
In this Letter, we study scalar wave perturbations of arbitrary frequency to the 5D Schwarzschild-Tangherlini black hole (STBH) within general relativity. For the first time, we derive a closed formula for the 5D partial wave gravitational Raman scattering amplitude applicable to a broad class of boundary conditions, expressed in terms of the Nekrasov-Shatashvili (NS) function for the reduced confluent Heun problem. Finalization of the Sector Logic ATCA blade design for the ATLAS Level-0 muon trigger at HL-LHC / Izumiyama, Shota (Nagoya University (JP)) ; ATLAS TDAQ Collaboration
The Trigger and Data Acquisition system of the ATLAS experiment will be upgraded in alignment with the High-Luminosity LHC project so that the trigger rate increases from 100~kHz to 1~MHz. [...]

Measurement of top quark charge asymmetries in jet-associated top quark pair production at sqrts 13 TeV /CMS Collaboration
Top quark charge asymmetry measurements in jet-associated top quark pair production are performed in proton--proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, using a sample of events with a single isolated electron or muon in the final state. The data were recorded with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. [...]

Overview of HGCAL detector / Amendola, Chiara (speaker) (CERN)
The extremely high instantaneous luminosity of the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will pose major challenges for detectors, particularly in the innermost and most forward regions. The existing CMS endcap calorimeters, designed for LHC conditions, cannot withstand the intense radiation levels and occupancies expected in the HL-LHC [...]

16th Conference on Quark Confinement and the Hadron Spectrum - QCHSC 2024   19 - 24 Aug 2024  - Cairns, Australia  .-
Inaugurated in 1994 in Como, Italy, this series of conferences has become an important forum for scientists working on strong interactions, stimulating exchanges among theorists and experimentalists as well as across related fields. The aim of the conference is to bring together people working on strong interactions from different approaches, ranging from lattice QCD to perturbative QCD, from models of the QCD vacuum to QCD phenomenology and experiments, from effective theories to physics beyond the Standard Model.
